Ok what TV/ Movies scenes that scared you as a kid (10 years old a younger). Here our mine, dam lot of scary stuff from the 70's

Watership Down

For a cartoon that looks freaky

Definitely with Emma on the Watership Down one ... for a kids film about rabbits, that scene was terrifying!

There were some really creepy adverts in the UK when I was growing up in the 80s. I remember one about leaving a stray cigarette alight in your living room and it had footage of this horrible looking room full of brown and orange furniture going up in flames in a few seconds. It looked a lot like our own living room so I then had morbid thoughts about burning to death in a house fire.

I think for that reason The Towering Inferno had some scenes that scared me as a kid, like when the lift full of people opens up at the party and the man in flames staggers out, or when Robert Wagner tries to escape across a room that's on fire but collapses in flames and then his girlfriend jumps / gets blown out of a window ... pretty harrowing stuff!

Salems Lot (the boy in front of the window from the first post, but i think there was also a scene with dogs and a coffin)

Pet sematary (OMG!)

The scene in the Exorcist where Regan comes down the stairs upside down. Not sure how to post the shot, but it was from the directors cut and it scared the hell out of me.

"Halloween" (1978)...Where the door opens and Micheal Myers is standing there with a sheet over him (and wearing the eyeglasses of his victim)...that was pretty scary. Also at the end of the movie when the doctor looks over the balcony and sees that Micheal is gone....then you see quick flashes of the house and neighborhood...very suspensful..it's like; "He's still alive??"......Many scenes in the 1974 film "Texas Chainsaw Massacare" with Leatherface.......and the masked figure in the 1976 Brooke Sheilds film "Alice Sweet Alice".

I was older than 10 but Cujo scared the living shit out of me as a young teen.

word??? ... i laughed through that whole movie... from the mother's decisions, to that slovenly St. Bernard repeatedly head-butting that car, it was endless unintended comedy

I'm honestly not sure what age I was, but I remember crying cause I was scared. The car window bit made me scream. I was young, honest.

This movie scared me HAVE TO DEATH as a child. I will NEVER watch it again.
