Well many of the Sci-Fi actors I grew up watching as a kid have all been passing away these past 8 years or so. Granted many of these actors got to live up until there 70's and 80's, still it's sad to hear because many of them are from my parents generation, and I too lost both parents and my Aunties and Uncles these past few years. If I missed someone who passed away in the last 8 years feel free to mention them. Stephen Furst will always be Flounder to me

Sad. I grew up watching many of them. I had such a crush on Richard Hatch. Another Star Trek TOS actor...Robert Walker Jr., "the actor known for the memorable original Star Trek episode 'Charlie X,'" died in Dec. 2019...He was 79. Born April 15, 1940.

YW! I've been keeping up with TOS actors. I grew up on this series. During this lockdown I've rewatched all 3 seasons twice. I believe only Shatner (Cap. Kirk), George Takei (Sulu), Walter Koenig (Chekhov), and Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) are still with us. Spock's death broke my heart.

I remember Persis Khambatta's death in 1998 at only 49 too. She was just too young. I loved her in Star Trek: TMP

Another creepy thing is the cast of Alien. The first person to die in the movie and in real life was John Hurt. The 2nd person to die in the movie and in real life was Harry Dean Stanton

Haha hated him as well until Fifth Element. He was so sweet and charming as the priest. Then of course his turn as Bilbo came along and I fell in love with his acting. Too bad he didn't return for The Hobbit.

I adored him in the Fifth Element.

Lynn Cohen died in 2020 too. She was a great character actor...was in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

I had just heard about Star Trek Continues last year around the holidays. I binge-watched all of them in one weekend.

At first, I thought they'd be horrible. It took my mind an episode or so to "reset" to accept new actors playing the TOS cast, but when it did everything was really outstanding! The acting, the sets, the stories. With a few exceptions, they're on par or better than the originals.

RIP Grant Imahara. I loved you on MythBusters and enjoyed your version of Sulu on STC.

And RIP to everyone else on this list. I just watched Aliens Special Edition over the weekend, and missed Bill Paxton and the Marine Sergeant actor Al Matthews.
