THEKILLINGJOKE	I just recovered my old username from 15 years ago. Under this name, this is only my second post. I assume i gotta make a choice. JoeyC, or THEKILLINGJOKE? Should i keep this name??? JoeyC...

I had to go back in the recent move thread to remember the movies I saw recently.. senior moments 😖

Even though I enjoyed those movies it must have not made much am impression on me, not like my favorite movies do (Pride and Prejudice w/ Kiera Knightley, and Anna and the King) where I can still picture the scenes. 😍

With a novel though since the reader is the one to conjure up the image in their mind, the image lasts longer. I still have an image of an Orson Scott Card novel in my mind to this day. 🙂

My mother was a very strict Catholic. Aside from the whole sex before marriage thing. And all the other sins and broken commandments. But she went to church every (well, most) Sundays and hated blasphemy of any kind. However, if myself or my sister ever misbehaved in any way, she'd say "the curse of Christ on you" and throw whatever object that was within reaching distance at us.
Now, being an atheist, I'm no expert. But my uncle is a priest and he's never heard of the "curse of Christ". I wonder what it is. What could it be?

😤 can't find my favorite scene from 'Hearts in Bali'. Everyone raved about the kissing scene but my favorites was the dinner scene and the scene where he got on his knees and sorry of begged.

The dinner screen was more intimate than the kissing scene (that was awkward), it was the way Jo In Sung looked at Ha Ji Won, it was a familiarity in that look that passed between them that conveyed his thought to her. If that makes sense. 😂

mELdOURADOsELV AGEM	The drive home was scary! Thought that since it was too bright with the sun up and I should wait till it went down, but the dark was worse. Everything was fuzzy light and I could barely see in the dark. But I made it home.

It reminds me of the John Mellencamp song, "Small Town", which has the following lyric:

Educated in a small town
Taught the fear of Jesus in a small town

Say what?!? There is no "fear of Jesus". Jesus is love. I've read the entire New Testament and I cannot find anywhere in it where it says you should fear Jesus. Now - the fear of God?

Yes, that's all over the Bible. But that lyric kind of makes me think John Cougar didn't go to his small town church all that much.
