I'm not mad at Jimmy Butler. I'm actually glad he stated his real desire to be the top dog on
another team. He was not worth a max contract at 5 years given his flaky history. I would have
given him 3 at best. Tobias may not be worth it yet but at least he wants to play in Philly and don't mind being the 3rd option behind Embiid and Simmons plus instead of Jimmy leaving for zilch they got a solid player in Josh Richardson. I'm happy. Good luck in South Beach Jimmy he will damn
sure need it. My heart goes out to Knicks fans. Damn. One of the most loyal fan bases I've seen in all of sports and they have to put up with shitty management. And I thought Philly stuggled with the process. The Knicks situation now reminds me of the Harold Katz years in Philadelphia in the 80's where he dismantled a championship team with his bullshit.
Butler isn't top dog material, never has been and never will be. Butler has always been a bully, selfish and divider in the locker room. Butler reminds me of that other two faced bastard, Isaiah Thomas. With the Bulls he played when he felt like it and when Rajon Rondo played with the Bulls, Jimmy attempted to get the team to pick between the two. Poor leadership, Butler has always been a legend in his own mind. |

Hey Zeke is one of my favorite players of all time.
Don't know what exactly you're talking about but I do know some of the shit
that was said about him were exaggerated. Was he a bit of a lightning rod yes?
I didn't appreciate how number 23 and Pippen fucked him over in the Olympics years ago
especially when #23 proved to be quite an asshole himself. He's getting his karma right now
because the Hornets haven't been much of shit since he's taking over the franchise. I remember
me and some friends going to see them play the Clippers during Blake Griffin's rookie year and I looked up and #23 and Oakley were sitting several seats directly in front of us just above courtside. I wanted to pop his ass in the back of his bald head.

Fuck Isiah Thomas...one of the greatest players ever, but complete shit as an executive. He and his buddy James Dolan turned the Knicks into a laughing stock....Eddy Curry, Jerome James, Stephon Marbury, Larry Brown, Anucha Brown Sanders.....need I say more? |

Interesting summer league game on now, Knicks vs Pelicans. First look at Zion & RJ.
It's official - Kawhi Leonard to the Clippers, who also traded for Paul George. [Edited 7/6/19 4:34am] |

Although the Raptors fans are sad to hear the news about Kawhi going to the Clippers, I think I can say on behalf of all the fans that we are grateful to him for bringing the NBA championship to Toronto and Canada. He will be missed as will Danny Green. The entire Raptors team brought so much excitement to this city and country and us fans will never forget it. Toronto has the championship and that will never be taken away! Good luck to Kawhi and Danny. Go Raptors!!!!! The fans will be here in October and every October after that. |

It'll be interesting to see if Siakam can step up and take his game to the next level to make up for Kawhi's loss. Going to be a fascinating season.
Danny Green signs a 2 year deal with the Lakers. |

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the team steps up but we need a superstar and I don't see that happening until the 2021 season. Maybe we'll get the Greek freak! might as well think big, right?! |

The NBA is all out of sorts now. So Kawai has been LeBronning recruiting superstars to play
with him. That's the new age NBA. Not mad about it. I'm glad Kawai went to the Clippers to play instead of the Lakers. It will make LA an interesting inner city rivalry now unlike the Knicks-Nets. I'm actually geeked about that matchup next season. I just think it's kind of weird how Paul George happenened to the Clippers. Now the petulant kid Westbrook wants out of OKC.
George gave him a big FU. Boogie Cousins going to the Lakers. That Pacific division is gonna be
hell next year with the Clippers, Lakers, Warriors, and Blazers. Don't laugh at my funk

We're seeing the AAU-LeBron generation in full bloom. Elite stars with personal ties forming houses to compete for the crown, Game Of Thrones style.
Christmas Day is going to be something in Los Angeles.

Russell Westbrook and Jimmy Butler together??????
Westbrook is so ball-dominant....who can play with him?
Those two personalities will be a supernova that will either be unleashed on the league or destroy MIA from within.

I guess we had to do it. The Harden/CP3 combo regressed this year. A change had to be made, especially after what the two LA teams did.
I'm still shaking my head how a guy who just completed his third triple-double season in a row didn't make it to the final MVP group, much less win it. Maybe I place more stock in that than I should, but dang. He's had the kind of season three times in a row that only one other player in the entire history of the NBA was able to do once.
Statisically Westbrook brings more rebounding than Paul provided. That's good - I lost count how many offensive rebounds the Warriors got on 3-point misses. |

This is a disaster in the making, worse than pairing Westbrook & Jimmy Butler together. Two dudes who excel at hero ball....we've seen how well that works.
Houston needs a real coach like Riley or Popp to reign Westbrook in. D'Antoni has no balls, so he'll let these clowns do whatever they want on the court. |

In other news - well, it's not really NEW, but it's news - Grayson Allen is still a punk:
https://deadspin.com/gray...1836299774
In what is now an annual tradition, Thursday night Allen turned a summer league contest against a better NBA prospect into an opportunity to do some unnecessarily violent shit, out of nowhere. Last summer it was against Atlanta’s Trae Young, this summer it’s against Boston rookie Grant Williams, who it must be said handled the whole affair with admirable restraint. |

One of them will have to sacrifice big-time for this to have a chance. The sensible solution is for Harden to play off-ball.....let Westbrook do most of the ball handling, so he can drive and dish. |

I think the cap is expected to jump in 2020(?), so better to lock him up now.
I also think they may trade him in the future.
