I think your review of Game Of Thrones is fair. I'm kind of torn on it. My two favourite episodes have both been this season but I do agree that they could have fit in about 2 more episodes just to give the story more room to breathe. Some character interactions felt a little rushed at times. But I enjoyed it overall.

Deadwood
Just finished rewatching it to prepare for the upcoming Deadwood Movie. What more can I say that hasn't been said before. Deadwood is an absolute masterpiece. There are so many characters and every single one of them is great. The writing is spectacular and the dialogue in particular has never been bettered in any other TV series or movie. The show is dark and violent but also absolutely hilarious at times. There is no "bad guys vs good guys" here either. Because there are no pure heroes or villains. Even the Sheriff, played by the impeccable Timothy Olyphant, who is the closest thing the show has to a good guy, often flies off the handle and beats his enemies to bloody pulps. But as much as I love Timothy Olyphant, he's not the best thing about the show. Ian McShane's portrayal of Al Swearengen is right up there with the greats. And his performance sums the show up perfectly. He IS Deadwood and he will do anything to protect it, whether that be his willingness to kill a defenceless child or how he puts his huge ego aside and teams with Sheriff Bullock to go against the towns greatest threat, George Hearst. 5/5 [Edited 5/20/19 10:53am]

It wasn't the best show I've seen this year, but GOT has earned the number 10 spot in my favorite (different than best) shows. I give the whole series a 10.

Without spoiling anything, I can tell you that season 2 is also fantastic BUT its kind of different. Still great in its own way though. And if you're a David Lynch fan, you'll really enjoy Twin Peaks: The Return.

White Gold, Season 2 (2019) A smarmy, fun show set in 1985, about about double-glazed windows, with an excellent cast led by Ed Westwick. It also has an awesome sountrack to boot (I can't get Sly Fox's Let's Go All The Way (1985) out of my head) I give this a 4 out of 5

Believe it or not, I've totally avoided spoilers for the entire finale of GOT, so I can binge watch it on the internet... Even when my son came to visit, we avoided talking about it...and he's a total GOT junky. I got him hooked after I binge-watched the first season of the series. Great stuff! When Calls the Heart | Hallmark
I've always been a Laura Engels ( Little House on the Prairie) fan of pioneer era/west novels. The series is based on thi genre by Canadian writer Janette Oke. Michael Landon Jr. produces, writes, and directs this series.
When Calls the Heart, could have been much better if Landon Jr. had stuck to Oke's story line. But folks always have piss on someting to kinda proves its their product. Its the only TV series I've made an effort to watch in more than a decade. Season 6 last episode for this year airs, Sunday.

Deadwood: The Movie I won't spoil anything because I know there's at least one person on here who is watching the TV show now but basically, this movie is the real final episode of the series. Unfortunately, Deadwood was cancelled after its third season and fans were left without a definitive ending. Until now. And what a fucking ending it was. For anyone who was angry about Game Of Thrones, Deadwood: The Movie is a perfect example of how to end a beloved show. But it's not just the ending that's perfect. The entire movie is perfect. The story is a continuation of season 3, featuring George Hearst returning to Deadwood to continue his campaign of being an absolute bastard, where he once again comes up against Seth Bullock, the closest thing this show has to a good guy. I can't go into more detail about the plot without spoiling the show. What I CAN talk about though is the dialogue. Anyone who has seen Deadwood knows that the dialogue is head and shoulders above any other TV show/movie. Quentin Tarantino only wishes he could write dialogue like this. And I'm pleased to say that in the intervening years, David Milch has not lost a step. The entire movie is crackling with soon-to-be classic one liners. Plus, we even get Al Swearengen refer to Trixie as "a loopy fucking cunt" one more time, which is a great callback to the show's original run. As per usual with Deadwood, it's Al Swearengen who gets most of the best lines but no character feels short changed. Whether it's Trixie's line about "a whore of my vintage.." or the slimey E.B. Farnum"s "I'm not built for such complexities", the dialogue is almost Shakespearen. In fact, it puts Shakespeare to shame. So, the language is coarse, the violence is brutal and when characters die, it's heartbreaking because we have a history with all of them. But it's not all doom and gloom. There's also a really nice love story involving one of the show's most beloved characters, a brand new baby and a wedding to boot. There are one or two loose ends not tied up but had they tied everything up in a nice little package it wouldn't have felt right. It would have been insulting to the audience. Besides, these are minor issues. On the whole, the movie absolutely lives up to the series and as an ending point, it really could not have been any better. Deadwood: The Movie scores a 5/5.
