Aladdin MEGA STAR Will Smith, his wife Jada Pinkett Smith and their children attend the Hollywood premiere of Disney's Live-Action film Aladdin, held at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA.

Director Guy Ritchie (back row 4th from left) chose Will Smith to play the Genie because he knew Smith would do as good a job as the late comedic actor Robin Williams.

Looks like ANOTHER successful movie under the belt for Will.

I didn't even read your post, lol. I know you're just a troll and while I do find you genuinely amusing, I'm not interested in reading a lot of what you write because you're too obvious. You need to tone it down a bit. A good troll needs to have at least a bit of believability. Like you had when you went by KCoolMusiq. Back then I wasn't sure if you were for real or not. But now you're too over the top. You're still funny but not as entertaining as you used to be because it's just not believable anymore. I hope you rediscover your mojo soon though.

biggrin love me some Will Smith & Family. just watched him on Ellen the other day.

fell out my chair laughing at the part where he shows us a sky-diving clip and talks about facing his fears as he reaches age 50, then nearly screamed like a lady when Ellen brought out a fake mouse to show him.

he is afraid of mice and told Ellen he will face that fear when heturns 60. falloff falloff falloff

i do love that man

Who´s the young man with the black Air Jordans? Does Will have two sons?

They all look cool and telegant in these pictures.

You must be his biggest fan.

Why Will Smith? What makes you like him soooo much?

I don´t mind him, I still have some of his albums from 1986 on cassette and it´s nice to see him still around and successful and healthy, he was always a very positive guy.

Since I don´t really follow his career very closely I am often surprised to see him mocked so often.

But yeah, these pictures look great. Sometimes they all dress a bit weird, but not this time.

Good to see his family INTACT. wink

Let me answer now since the QUESTIONS was ORIGINALLY aimed at ME. rolleyes

Who's the young man with the black Air Jordans? Does Will have two sons?

Yes, that's Trey Smith Will's first born child & son whose 29 now. He's the spitting image of his DROP DEAD GORGEOUS mother,Will's ex wife, actress, Sheree Zampino(whom currently has a role as a manager/lawyer in the new cable show BET'S 'Games People Play' & whose ex husband ministered at my church). As U can see success & talent has run ALL through that family.

2mn5hy1.jpg

Sheree Zampino

Why Will Smith? What makes you like him soooo much?

I worked with first Will & then his wife Jada. It was one of the BEST experiences of my life.Especially since Jada was a big fan of Prince(r.i.p.) & Will ironically ended up being one of the last people to talk to Prince(r.i.p.) before he transitioned. EVERYBODY likes Will like U said he ALWAYS has a "positive attitude" it's what keeps him successful. So it's really a no brainer. It's rare to be a successful music artist, then sitcom star, that turned into movie stardom.

He's only "mocked" because when U've reached the top the haters ALWAYS try to bring U down. But as U can see he has STILL remained rich & successful with yet ANOTHER current number #1 movie under his belt.. Which has rubbed off now on his wife Jada & that keeps "his family INTACT".

To Whom It May Concern: A person doesn't have to find a REAL LIFE, If they're already living & working in that life since they were 12.

Disney’s remake of “Aladdin” starring MEGA STAR Will Smith

is off to a magical start at the box office, earning $31.5 million from 4,476 screens at the box office on Friday. While trackers expected a 4-day Memorial Day weekend opening of $75-85 million, “Aladdin” is now on pace to blow that out of the water with estimates now reaching $109-111 million, higher than the $103 million 4-day start earned last year for “Solo: A Star Wars Story.”

https://www.thewrap.com/aladdin-bigger-memorial-day-opening-solo/

Looks like Will has added ANOTHER MEGA HIT to his vast film discography.

Box Office: ‘Aladdin’ Taking Flight With $105 Million in North America

Disney’s live-action “Aladdin” is flying high with an estimated $105 million in North America during the four-day Memorial Day holiday weekend.

It’s the sixth-highest Memorial Day weekend total ever, topping the 2011 mark of $103.4 million for “The Hangover Part II.” The top total came in 2007, when “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” took in $139 million in its first four days. “Aladdin” is also dominating moviegoing internationally with $121 million in 56 markets.

“Aladdin” has outperformed Disney’s pre-opening domestic projections, which were in the $75 million to $85 million range, taking in $86.1 million in its first three days. The reboot of the original 1992 animated movie — which generated $502 million in worldwide box office — stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, MEGA STAR Will Smith as the Genie, Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. Guy Ritchie directed “Aladdin,” produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich.

Looks like 'Aladdin' beat ALL expectations....

Went to see it last night with my daughter and my little sister. Girl's night out kind of thing. And I know that the movie has been getting very mixed reviews from critics and I have to say, our experience yesterday sums up that mixed response perfectly. Although I think our ages might have played a part...

Firstly, my daughter is 7. Which I think is exactly the kind of age group this movie is targeting. And in that respect, I'd say it does what it sets out to do because she enjoyed it. She didn't love it, by any means, but she liked it.

My sister is 15. Disney musicals are kind of her thing. However, she didn't particularly like this version of Aladdin. She didn't dislike it either though. The only real negative she could point out was Will Smith's overacting (sorry, KCool). Other than that though, she didn't seem to be too bothered about the movie one way or another.

Now, I am 29. I love the Robin Williams version of Aladdin and I admit that the idea of a live action remake sickened me to my very soul. Then they cast Will Smith as the Genie and I lost any hope I had for it. So in other words, I had kind of already made up my mind before seeing it. But I was actually quite surprised. Don't get me wrong, I think the movie is absolutely awful but Will Smith is NOT the worst thing about it. In fact, I couldn't even name the worst aspect of it because its all shit. The acting is some of the worst I've ever seen in any movie. Seriously, it's terrible. And I'll give Will Smith a slight pass because he's supposed to be over the top but everyone else is just terrible. The CGI, especially on the Genie, is also really terrible. It looks so unnatural.

Overall, I'd say that if you're planning on seeing the movie and you have small children, then they'll probably enjoy it. However, they'd probably rather just see the Avengers again instead. All three of us definitely would have preferred to see the Avengers. In fact, all 3 of us would have preferred to see John Wick 3 but neither my sister or daughter were old enough to get in.

Oh, geez... Thanks for the review from 3 different age groups... I wasn't going to see this one anyway but based on your review, I definitely wouldn't. My son is one year older than you and I have fond memories of going to the animated film premiere with my son and his father...and remembering how great that movie was for ALL age groups. And watching it many times over on video with my son. Robin Williams can't be beat and neither can the animation and actors in that flick. Shame on Disney for trying to do a cash out on some of their best classics...

So the cartoon is better. Was there singing in it? If so I guess it failed, works better in an animated movie.

BTW there's also a live musical. Don't know how that is--haven't seen it. Stoked to finally see Hamilton on Wednesday (ticket prices got affordable).

So the cartoon is better. Was there singing in it? If so I guess it failed, works better in an animated movie.

Yes, there's singing in it. And the autotune is off the charts, especially on the guy who plays Aladdin. You'd think casting someone who could sing would have been a priority but it seems like they completely overlooked it.

I like Disney and I'm not overly negative about their new habit of remaking classic animated movies in live action, but Aladdin just doesn't work. Plus, it's not even that old so it's completely unnecessary. You're better off sticking with the original.

Took my 6 year old daughter and even she didn't like it. Went home with a disappointed kid and put on the original again to cheer her up.
Teh guy playing Jafar is a joke and that horrible song from that woke Jasmin was the cringiest thing I've ever heard in a Disney movie. The guy playing Aladdin was good except for the horrible singing effect, and Will Smith as the Genie, well, the less said about that the better and I usually like him.
What a horrible waste of time this was, Guy Ritchie really was a one hit wonder (even tho Snatch had some funny moments.) and the person who did the casting should be fired on teh spot.
