Is he a Prince fan? Cuz it sure does sound like he read my earlier comments about whether or not he acts differently with other women. lol

Okay I'm caught up now.

Just two more things:

What's the make and color of your car? Because if they are unique, and especially a bright color, that's most likely how he noticed you driving by. Otherwise I don't think too many drivers pay attention to drivers in other cars, unless they are sitting at a stoplight.

Are the chocolate covered almonds dark chocolate? If so then you have automatically gained even more respect from me.

If you all wind up on Springer or Maury or one of them shows, I hope you give us the air date of the episode. I'd skip work to watch!

This is only part of my stupid life. I have another non-work situation too but that one is not so fun at the moment.

Maybe I should join tinder and see what that brings (other than stds).

Why not stay with a local dating service and do Plenty O' Fish? It's based in Vancouver, you could probably work there part-time and get the personal contact information of anyone you want. wink

I went on there several years ago and met my last serious boyfiend on it.

I go on it long enough just so see who is on there, get discouraged and delete account. :(

I don't really want anything with anyone. I just want steady sex right now. I was fine until I went away and hooked up with an old flame. Problem is I just can't sleep with someone I don't know well.

Would be fun with my co-worker friend but he's married. Would be fun with my other nonwork situation but he's too far away...and the other co-worker I'm not sure yet. I don't think I'm attracted enough even though he is trying really hard.

Try OkCupid, plenty of folks on there looking for no-strings sex.

There's ways around the no-attraction thing, alcohol definitely helps.

Standards are for relationships, not for meaningless sex. When it's no strings attached, it doesn't matter if they don't have money or intelligence or an attractive face. It still feels the same, right?

Turn off all the lights if necessary, then he can be anyone you want him to be. lol

And that is why you are admirable and have self-respect...

The married guy is definitely a "tease"... and merely worthy of some flirtatious banter

The other office guy sounds like potential although light-hearted fun (maybe WB...)

Office things though can always be a tad tricky...

Never done internet dating....although sounds like fun

Do any cocktail-bars have "singles" nights?...I went to a few early days after divorce and had a great time!

Trick was to go without expectation and just meet people - and if one thing leads to another after a few follow up dates.... result!!!

Black Mercedes...nice...

I respect that.

Question is, will you lower your standards enough to give in to the other office guy that has a thing for you?

I just need to go out more in general and meet new people. Was never a problem where I used to live. It's just here, the people here...guess I'm being too picky.

See the other guy is not unattractive. In fact, most women think he is quite hot. He's just not my usual type. And he's much younger than me too.

I told him that I'm cool with hanging out platonicly.

I think I'm more adverse to being involved in any way because he is already hooking up with another co-worker also, I am not comfortable with others finding out that he scored me too. Makes be feel gross. lol

Yeah I can understand that, you don't want coworkers viewing you as just another notch on his belt. Right now you have the leverage, if you hook up with him he'll likely be high-fiving coworkers in celebration of another conquest. That's probably a label you don't want in your office.

But wouldn't hooking up with someone who's not your type be lowering your standards anyway?

Your standards are based on what YOU consider to be attractive, not what others consider attractive ... right?

Hence office "romances" can end up being quite awkward in the long-term....

The old idiom of "never shit where you eat"...

Best to use it as an environment to keep the flirtatious banter innocent, playful and fresh - so when you meet someone eligible...you are nice and sharp.

Sounds like just going out and widening social circles without expectations is worthy of exploration

Social sport club... tennis, running club or chess (if that is your gig smile)...and just see who you get on with...

Before you know it...you will come across or be introduced to someone of interest.

You're right I guess it would be lowering my standards in a way...but he is growing on me a little each day. I thought he was kinda dumb but he is proving to be smarter than I thought.

I know exactly what I want to say to my fav guy now. He has led me up to it perfectly. biggrin

Erin….you clearly know the score… with a smart head on your shoulders

Business and reputation are to be protected

Innocent flirtation in the office is only to keep your game sharp and make the day interesting – nothing more than a distraction

Unless it is somebody you really, really like – “office flings” are a tad clichéd

Private, meaningful pleasure is outside of work – and with a bit of exploration….you will find what you are looking for…

Figure out what you like in a guy…and engage where they do… tennis/ dance classes/ business courses/ cooking classes/ art galleries/ rollerblading in the park etc…

Might not meet “the man” you like straightaway…or directly… but a bit of patience…and it will happen…

And you will have great experiences along the way!....

“Build it…and they will come…” - Field of Dreams

Or the xxx rated version... "Build it...and you will both cum..." eek

Peace

Hx

Just be happy Erin....however you wish to define it.... "once around on this mortal coil"

One lasting thought.....

I met and chatted to a dying old man today..

He was the animator for the cartoon "Dangermouse"....anyway, he imparted great knowledge...

"The truth will out...the truth will out"

I wish U love Erin... I wish U heaven...
