Alexis was born Robert Arquette in 1969. She was the sibling of Rosanna, Patricia, David, Richmond, and Cliff Arquette. She transitioned from male to female in her 30s. She died from "a lengthy illness". Her brother Richmond wrote on Facebook that she died just after midnight on September 11, while listening to David Bowie's "Starman". Richmond also added that he was "immensely grateful that it was fast and painless", regarding her last moments.

She was 47.

I remember that movie. Loved loved the Boy George impersonation.

I have been very upset about this. I even dreamed about her the day she passed. I did not know she was sick and feel awful this happened. R.I.P.

Later reports state she passed after a battle with AIDS.

May she rest in peace.
