Do you get offended by profanity?

When you hear somebody screaming vulgar, filthy, dirty words (Not directly to you), do you get intimidated by it?

otherwise do you find some of the cuss words funny or entertaining? I do!!

What's your opinion about hearing the C word AKA the most offensive word in English language?

I love to curse. I do not get offended by cursing or profanity. I fucking curse like a sailor. I have been known to say "cunt" from time to time but its like the least likely curse word that i use.

Nice, I'm a fan biggrin biggrin

Cursing is such a good way to feel good, you know. I know a lot of people who curse a lot (like, all the time) but yet do not use the word cunt. While I find cunt very funny and cool, I still have NO CLUE, at all, why it has this big offensive power and, I don't know, non-swag to it?

A cunt is a woman's vagina, which is also called a 'pussy'. So why we always hear in movies, music, daily conversations, people saying 'pussy' to one another while 'cunt' is much less used.

Pussy means sissy or fag while cunt means bitch. A man calling another man a cunt or a woman calling another woman a cunt does not bother me. Pussy gives me ptsd.

I life profanity but absolutely hate these slur words: gimp, midget, retard, retarded, spastic, spaz, any form of tard (such as fantarding), ass burgers (spelled that way) along with pussy and all homophobic, transphobic and racist slurs.

Nope. I get offended by sanctimonious hypocrites who get offended by people who swear. Far more pressing things 2 be getting offended by in this day & time. I don't call women names like - slut, whore, slapper, slag, cunt etc. At age 9/10 my mother pointed out 2 me that all of them degrade women via their sexuality. Then we looked at the words used for insulting men...

I've been known 2 call women & men bitches/bitchy. I save cunt 4 those really special, nasty piece of work males. Mum hated me using that word, even if it was saved 4 special occasions. After decades tho one day she called a real special guy a cunt! We had a good laugh over that.

Btw i like male friends, fam, kids, elderly & pets! Please don't get the wrong impression! Just one little story lol

It's something kids do, but grown-ups usually don't.

I hear the word cunt at least 20 times a day. I'm not offended by it or any other "bad" word. I don't believe words can be offensive anyway. Regardless of it beginning with a c, n, f, s or whatever else. A word is just a word. It only becomes offensive if it's used in a demeaning way.

Times I've been offended by it.

Listening to mothers with their small children in tow, cursing up a storm as loudly as possible.

Small children doing it.

On the trolley, bus or any other enclosed space, as loudly as possible.

In general I don't get the need for the loudness of it.

To me there's a time for all things and every waking moment isn't it.

I watch my mouth around children, not just concerning swearing either. Stuff peep say around kids nowdays, 2 me it's theft of innocence. Grown friends & fam tho is another matter. Kitchen table talk.

It depends on the situation, context and person.

I've been told I have a "potty mouth," but I refuse to use the "c" word and hate to hear it used. It's a filthy, disgusting word that makes me cringe. On the otherhand, I use "MF' about 20 times a day. Go figure...

Cooter.

.

I don't mind cussin' at all, but for me it's an art form. When people are using it in place of other words, it's lazy and pedestrian. But there are times cussin' enhances a moment or a feeling, and works great.

.

But what the fuck do I know.

Only if someone is doing it in public around people that might be sensitive.

I have zero fucking problem with it... However, I do believe like everything else in life, context and moderation is everything.

As far as the CUNextTuesday word... It's not one of my choice words but I don't see the derision over it vs many others either...
