Because if you show all the evidence for a flat earth, it outweighs any evidence for a global earth. Examples for flat earth:

No curvature on the earth. Light houses can be seen from 40-50 miles away at sea and there is NO curvature.

the horizon:

The horizon always rises to the eye level of the observer as altitude is gained, so you never have to look down to see it. If Earth were in fact a globe, no matter how large, as you ascended the horizon would stay fixed and the observer / camera would have to tilt looking down further and further to see it.

You call the light house example zero evidence? Let me guess, if the light house was out of sight due to the curvature of the earth, then you would be using that as proof for a global earth but since I'm using it to show there is NO curvature on the earth, you ignore it

I don't remember the US Navy crossing the Atlantic and Indian oceans to get to the Pacific during WWII to fight the Japanese Empire

why? because the Earth is round and they just crossed the Pacific

If anyone flies from Japan to Hawaii (or vice versa) then on a flat earth, that trip would have to take about 2 days, with several stops for refueling. Because obviously you are traveling from one end of Flat Earth all the way to the other end. But all the flights from Tokyo to Honolulu are non-stop!

So that means that somehow we have planes that can fly from one end of Flat Earth to the other without needing to refuel! That's 14,417 miles according to my calculations. Plus, they have to be going almost 2,000 miles an hour to cover the 14,417 miles between Honolulu and Tokyo in the 8 hours the airlines say they can:

Moot, already solved. The atmosphere spins too. It's like when a fly is trapped inside a car. It can fly around and yet not smash against the back window. This is because the air inside the car is moving at the same speed as the car. The atmosphere in which the helicopter is suspended is moving at the same speed as the ground beneath it. Therefore, the helicopter will hover and remain in the same space relative to the ground beneath it.

Now, really - JoeTyler and I have solved this riddle. Give us something else to solve. Something difficult, like: What do women want? That is MUCH harder to solve than "Is the Earth round or flat?"

If Earth and its atmosphere were constantly spinning eastwards over 1000mph, then the average commercial airliner traveling 500mph should never be able to reach its Eastward destinations before they come speeding up from behind! Likewise Westward destinations should be arrived at thrice the speed, but this is not the case.
