Ha, coonery is another part of this equation. I wonder if there's any chance that he'll get picked up by another network. Oprah, Magic, anyone?
It's beyond me how they could leave a shrew like Wendy Williams on and take Arsenio off?
Or Kelly Rippa and Michael Strachan, or the damn View....
I could go on and on...hell Oprah or TVOne should bring back Arsenio AND Sinbad,
Didn't The Talk owned & pawned The View's asses a long time ago?!?
Seriously, even the UK's Loose Women are better than The View these days. |

Thats what Arsenio Hall will say later on. He always burns his bridges when a show he does gets cancelled.
What about when Conan was whining when he got double-crossed by NBC? No one complained that he was upset, so why be upset if Arsenio is vocal about this raw deal that's been handed to him.
Well thats a one time thing with Conan and NBC. Arsenio whines all the time his shows get canceled such as Martial law and that comedy show he had (think it was called Arsenio) If he didn't win celebrity apprentice he would be crying about that as well. And Conan did get some heat from that NBC deal gone bad. [Edited 6/2/14 2:25am] |

Yeah, The Talk is a complete ripoff of The View. Almost a complete duplicate of it. I will say that The Talk is getting better because the first few seasons seemed shaky. It's getting better while The View is getting worse. I think Sherri Shephard needs to go. She's really irritating and seems to talk too much these days. All of this while her own marriage is failing.... Trolls be gone! |

I get it. They cancel him at the peak of May sweeps months so they couldn't calculate his REAL ratings in May. It was designed to make him look like he couldn't bring in the ratings. The whole Nielsen ratings system is a joke in the first place but that's another discussion for another day. This sounds like there is way more to this story than what we know. Trolls be gone! |

Did your friend mention anything about Arsenio getting canceled while on vacation? Maybe Arsenio could lawyer up and sue for breach of contract. But, I'm sure the other side would use their billions that they have. It can't possibly be budget reasons. Not buying it at all. And you're right, if it were really about money they would have done something WAY before now. I mean, Leno just gave Arsenio that announcement just two months ago!
Like I've been saying, someone like Jimmy Kimmel would never in a million years get treated like Arsenio. So, next season late night TV will feature all white, male guys who aren't much older than age 40. I've never understood why networks don't want diversity in late night shows. I think people like George Lopez and Arsenio (and others that we never hear about) are totally stiffed when it comes to that genre. Also, there isn't much hope for female late night hosts either. But wait a second, Martial Law was not exactly Arsenio's show, it was Sammo Hung's show. Arsenio replaced Dana Dickson who was cut from the show after only the first 6 episodes of season 1. |

True! that's why Its important to own your own brand like Oprah. That's why I admire her so much. She is her own boss. She has her OWN network. Even though ratings is very important also to get endorsements and advertising revenue for the network. Arsenio's ratings just wasn't that good. But I don't feel he was given the right promotion or time either to build his brand up again.
Regular people I know didn't watch it or even know it was on at all. But I feel he will be cool. Maybe get picked up by a cable network. But he won't be getting that major network salary anymore.
Arsenio made a LOT of money on his first talk show. At least about 20 million a season. He owned that show through his production company Arsenio Hall Commnications . That is why everybody & their mama is trying to get their own talk show now.Tyra Banks just announced she is coming back. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! I'm still trying to figure out how Craig Ferguson made it TEN YEARS on TV as a late night host and his show is dreadful. But, that horse and robot bit that he had on the show was funny I agree that he didn't get enough promotion and time to make things develop. I know that there are sitcoms and other shows that come and go quickly because of ratings. BUT, the issue here is that late night shows are in a very specific category all by themselves and is probably one of the most racially biased and gender biased shows in TV.
In other news, Justin Bieber is caught on tape saying the N-word and a host of black celebs rush to "defend" Bieber because the tape was from when he was 15. However, Mel Gibson is caught on tape using slurs against Jewish people and his entire career was destroyed.
There are probably millions more examples of inequality in the entertainment business. What if someone used racial slurs against Jewish people? Why is it okay to give Bieber a pass on this nonsense? Trolls be gone! |

I remember when Bieber first came on to the scene and I remembered thinking to myself how long is it going to be before they start showing Bieber in a different light. In other words, when were they going to have him get tattoos, get arrested and suddenly be surrounded by "thugs" and or black men in general. Fast forward a few years later and now he's covered in tattoos, allegedly abusing sizzurp and he's part of Floyd Mayweather's entourage? I'm not trying to imply that Mayweather is a junkie but I think Bieber's handlers pushed him towards the direction where he's caught up in some really unhealthy stuff.
Now, about that tape that came to surface five years later....TMZ said they had the tape years ago but didn't air it because they didn't want to ruin the kid's career at the time and they had carefully considered what could happen if it were released. So, suddenly a British tabloid gets the tape and airs it out a few days ago? First of all, why was he being taped while saying some pretty racist stuff? Who decided to leak it out and why? I also find it strange that all these black male celebs rushed to Bieber's defense. Maybe they realize how dirty those tabloid shows are and perhaps they were sympathetic but I'm wondering what the motive was for this. Trolls be gone! |

To sale tabloids and perhaps gain sympathy for Bieber. He admits what he did wrong publicly and owns it. This is a trait the public likes, it makes him look better than anything he has done lately. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |

Yeah perhaps it was for tabloid profit and sympathy. I think you're right when you say that this ultimately makes him look better than anything he's done lately. Anytime the tabloids get something and then decide not to publish it until five years later is really suspect. Trolls be gone! |
