I saw it on Saturday. I didn't like it as much as Moonrise Kingdom, but the performances are great and it is visually stunning (as all Wes Anderson films are).

same here

thought it was entertaining but not as good as Moonrise Kingdom

but he might as well be 'mainstream' now...........and not 'independent' anymore

Nymphomaniac Vol. 1 (2013) - A self-diagnosed nymphomaniac recounts her erotic experiences to the man who saved her after a beating.

The story was okay. I did like how typography was incorporated into the visuals. Maybe I'll like the entire movie more as a whole after seeing Vol. 2. star star star

the violence was extreme, and I read my phone during those parts, but it got interesting halfway through. I liked the train itself and the sections of it. I wish there was more train interior stuff. Some of it was so bizarre.

May give another chance but when I thought about how do you fuel the train, when it reaches the end of the line, do you just change ends and run back the same way?

That's what made me bail, I couldn't see the logic.

I appreciate that Lars von Trier has an unconventional style and I can count on seeing something other than the usual clichés when viewing his movies--even though the plots can often be hokey or manipulative. His movies I've seen:

Dancer in The Dark - 4/5

Dogville - 3.5/5

Antichrist - 4/5

Melancholia - 3.5/5

Le Week-End (2013) - A British couple return to Paris many years after their honeymoon there in an attempt to rejuvenate their marriage.

It's a lovely movie, albeit a little dark, but the icing on the cake is the tribute to Jean-Luc Godard's Bande à part. Beautiful. star star star star 1/2

In my opinion, this movie could have been sooooo good had it been approached in the same was as a movie like Brazil (Terry Gilliam) rather than Hunger Games, focusing on the ABSURD - Tilda Swinton's character was fantastic, but she seemed like a guest from a whole different movie.

The train ran on a circuit track around all the continents (a map was shown) and took one year to make the circuit. Other than that, what fuels it (perpetual motion?) wasn't really explained.

The Lunchbox (2013) - A mistaken delivery in Mumbai's famously efficient lunchbox delivery system connects a young housewife to an older man in the dusk of his life as they build a fantasy world together through notes in the lunchbox.

Top Gun - 1 out of 5

Just watched it for the very first time. I had no idea it was a soft porn gay Navy recruitment film. Really really bad story and equally bad acting. Even from Meg Ryan.

Took my son & his friends to see it (their choice, I was the chaperone).

Meh. shrug

Some good parts, some bland parts. Some confusing parts.

star star star

No terrifible but not amazing. The kids loved it. If you enjoyed "Hunger Games" you'll love it as well.

The end was kind of stupid IMO...but I'm sure it's one of those "to be continued" things.

On the news just prior to the release they were claiming that this movie was going to be bigger than The Hunger Games. Granted I'm not into the HG, I'm just curious, is it?

The Virgin Queen 3 out 5 stars. Bette Davis steals this movie with her great acting. Richard Todd does a great job too, but young Joan Collins is the weak link.

I saw this last night. Part 2 is available on pay per view but I can't decide if I want to see the other part.

Dude this movie sucked ass big time. Me and my main man Bo watched it the other day and it was kinda meh

too tame to get our dicks hard and too kinky to be broadcast on Tv plus it was kinda boring and that Shia Bof dude just sucked ass his accent kinda irrating he just full of shit is how I see it

he wasnt even boning that chick for real he kinda used a cock double

probably cuz dude aint packin butt who am I to judge

Me and Bo thought this be the kinda movie to watch together and masturbate together on the couch but boy what a disappointment and what s wit Crhistian slater dudes last good movie was what? Heathers?

This movie had no direction no plot just plain boring Lars von Trier should go fuck himself

in hindsight me and Bo couldnt even bust a nut to this not even a little bit

I mean for real I looked over to Bo on the couch and he diddnt even have an erecshion

I was kinda semi hard but not really

part II seems to have some DP in it wit those two African french dudes dont know if they be packin tho

word on the street is that they kinda argue over her before they get freaky so it might be kinda so so as far as freekin goes

Lars von Trier is a waste of time andmoney but hey what do I know?

I've dated outside of my race and I discovered that Good Pussy is Good Pussy and Good Booty is Good Booty regardless of ethnicity...I don't have a Fetish for only Big White Tits, Big White Butts or Phat White Pussy.(chancellor) smile wise man !

Both volumes should be on pay-per-view right now. I have not watched vol. 2 yet so I'm reserving judgement until then.
