Guys: Do you like it when women make the first move?

or do you prefer to be the pursuer. I have heard that if the woman make the first move than she takes on the role that is considered male, and therefore the man she might be interested in will not be interested in her.

I find it really confusing actually, cause if I as a woman do not let it be known that I am interested, why would he feel the need to make a move?

I always have to make the 1st move because no one has ever approached me.

Can more guys here please explain how wonderful it is for a girl to hit on them? I never had that feeling.I always pursue or buy my way.The closest for me was in psyche ward and that connection was made through phone call.

I never had anyone pursue me in person, except men, which has been quite a few.

Im Vermin.

the way i see it, you have two choices

you can either a) wallow in self pity... this will allow you to do things like constantly making strong negative statements about yourself to gain pity and/or attention

or you could b) recognise the traits that make you "vermin" and do something about them.... this will involve a journey to try to live life in a positive way, by whatever means necessary (which may include finding the right medication)

i have a brother with schitzophrenia... that this insipid disease has attacked probably the most kind, gentle soul i've ever met breaks my heart

but just to let you know where he's at, he recently received his masters degree, and his 2nd book is about to be published... while he is still a kind, gentle soul, he's also a fighter, determined to do the best with the cards the's been dealt

the fact that you suffer from mental illness sucks... and i have nothing but compassion for you... if there's anything i can do to support you, let me know (truly)... but this game you play here isn't doing you any good

but hey, if the that's the way you want to go about it, have at it... i'll never comment on it again

sorry for the thread jack EmeraldSkies

no problem,my sister also had schitzophrenia, and she dealt with it better than I think I would have. She also was a kind, and gentle soul, and dealt with the best way she knew how, occasionally she would have her bad days, but not often. After she past away last year, people would come up to me,and tell me she was better off now,but I know if given the choice, she would rather be here with her mental illness than not here at all.

contrary to popular belief, i am very approachable and can admire a woman

who can elevate to the level of attempting to get what she likes.

some women have the curse of bein too beautiful, seemin to be un-approachable,

putin them in the predicument of bein quite lonely. only a few know that the answer

to that is to be aggressive and make that approach. closed mouth don't

give head eek don't get fed...

Yep, sure do like it...especially in this age of 'equality'...women can go ahead and pay for dates, meals and gifts regularly too.

Not really. At least when I don't know them personally yet.

Eh, I don't mind it, really. My experience of it is just that it's never lead to anything substantial. The women have usually thought that I must be something that I'm really not (a guitar player in a rock band, or something as naive).

.

No, I want them to let me know they are interested, but if I want you there is no need to pursue me.

.

I think in general there should be some kind of shared attraction, before a move is made.

.

I don't think a woman making the 1st move though as some others have put it, is a 'strong' women. Sounds like some muscle bound dominitrix. She could be a desperate women too.

falloff Yeah the bolded part wasn't really a compliment.

Thanks Uhope for answering!
That was my first guess "after a few beers", but as the last word was missing (why???) I wasn't sure. I thought it might be a phrase I haven't heard of.
If that's what he was trying to say well then I guess he found that funny, oh well......
