Serena Williams Tops Highest-Paid
Serena Williams, 31 has taken the No. 1 spot on People With Money’s top 10 highest-paid tennis players for 2013 with an estimated $46 million in combined earnings. This year is turning out to be a golden one for Serena; through a few up and downs, she has managed to earn millions of dollars to ease any pains. In 2010 it looked like the Serena’s spectacular career was winding down. Suddenly, she was back on top.People With Money reports that Williams is the highest-paid tennis player in the world, pulling in an astonishing $46 million between March 2012 and March 2013, a nearly $20 million lead over her closest competition. Serena surpassed Pete Sampras as top American in prize money earnings.
