I have had my last straw with fashion designers. Every time one of the production companies has to interview a high end fashion designer and I do sound... Just chaos. First they are always late(by late I mean in the studio but waits an hour so they can make sure there show laces look pretty)

Then when they show up they are rude, loud, don't want to shake hands with you and sigh if the temp in the room is wrong or complain cause they don't have a 100 dollar coffee In hand. They especially treat the crew like crap... As if we are just people in the way of there oh so precious day. On top of that there interviews are boring cause surprise surprise they have a shitty personality and not much to say. I wish I could spin back kick them in the throat every time I have to be near any of them.

And someone told me that fashion designers have a right to act like that because the WORLD is fashion and they deserve to be big headed assholes sigh.

The people that were interviwed today consisted of 1. Phillip Lim 2. Derek Lam 3. Zac Posen and.. another guy who i can't recall(I think he is an up and coming guy not big yet)

Just awful people to even be in the room with.. but having to do sound for their interviews it was a very unpleasant experience... in fact every fashion designer i have seen in person is a self absorbed fuck who treats others like dog shit & seems to paint themselves out to be a near jesus type...

To be honest he wasn't as bad as the others. But he just had a 'i don't want to be here'' look on his face the entire time and he was also 1 hour and a half late

I hate effiminant Asian men in West who perpetuate catty stereotypes. As an Asian, we only comprise 2 to 3% of the population in the USA, and that means for better or worse, the general public is MUCH more likely to say that if one behaves a certain way, then all do--I find the smaller the group, the more generalizing takes place.


Also, being here in Asia for the last 3 years, I've come to realize 'fashion' is complete bullshit. What we perceive as this or that thing is absolutely meaningless. Asian men here dress in clothes that would be seen as very, VERY gay in the USA, but here it's just seen as 'trendy'. And they like things here that we make fun of in the west (they love CROCs here ). I think fashion is complete bullshit outside of hairdos. A good fashion mullet is universally fashionable while a redneck mullet is just plain regretable.

Anyways, fashion designers are meh to me these days.
