I hadn't even realized Valentine's Day was coming up, until I read it here lol

It was just another ordinary day, but the food was better than usual cool

Funny...most people say that food is typically WORSE on Valentine's Day b/c most restaurants are PACKED so they pre-cook alot of it and then try to rush you out the door (even though the menu prices are increased for the occassion).

The place that I went to didn't have a "special" menu - although we sat at the bar so I don't know if the schmucks sitting in the main dining room were hosed or not.

It was incredible, but I didn't eat at a restaurant. I just got a very nice meal from an superb Italian caterer (and it wasn't an entire menu, just 1 dish) smile

Avoid people.

That is what I do best on Valentine's day.

Since I am not employed that is very easy to do.

I did something I did not plan on doing. I did go on an internet dating site and send "Happy Valentine's Day" messages to all the men I usually chat with.

I did it because I felt like "everyone should have at least one person who thinks about them". I took the initiative and of course I got five or more, " Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day also", messages back.

There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

It was actually quite nice.

But I can't figure out why people get so stressed out leading up to it.
