You ain't lying. It's definitely a silly holiday. Hell, you don't get a day off of work for it so what's the purpose of it? It's a Hallmark and candy holiday. When I used to work in a convenience store, every Valentine's Day, some man would end up coming in frantically at the last minute asking if we had some candy. I used to tell them all the time "Throw that bitch a Snicker bar and tell her to keep her trap shut for another 12 months". lol

lol Honestly, the best thing about Valentine's day is that the day after, they mark all the prices of the candy down. thumbs up!

Oh yes. 50% the day after and 75% the weekend after.

Andy is a four letter word.

I'm one of those that would rather do special shit for my girlfriend on a regular basis, when one or the other of us is inspired to do something, instead of being forced into another nonsensical Hallmark Holiday. If there was something that we wanted to do, or if I had a girlfriend who was really into it (which is doubtful), that's cool. But generally speaking I just ignore it.

Well, why did you marry him if he didn't do special, nice things for you? That must be one powerful penis.

I totally disagree with you, but I also have no way, and no desire, to ever prove you wrong. lol Everybody is different. Believe it or not, I'm a romantic, but I don't want to be forced to do something standard and commercial on a particular day for a made up holiday.

yeahthat

Humans - for the most part - are inherently complacent. We need "something" to prod us.

To have ONE DAY A YEAR dedicated to your loved one is simply an incentive to go out and do something "special" that you wouldn't ordinarily do.

...and of course it keeps Hallmark & Godiva in business. nod

Say what? eek

I know this is a US thing, but Valentines day is catcing on here even though this is a every day, all day kinda chocolate eatin' place...as cheap as I am, I can already see me screaming "don't buy me Valentine's themed chocolate until next Saturday " no no no!

I penny pinch even if the money in question for gifts is about me lol No use in spending money you can set aside in your piggy bank for something else lol

Most people call it pussy, and I don't need a special day to make me want it. lol

Edit: Or dick, for some people. Lets be fair. nod

pat You aren't the only one. I hadn't even thought about Valentine's Day until I saw this thread. What let me know that I've been single too damn long is that when I saw the Fast Five today and all of a sudden then lustful feeling came over me watching Vin Diesel and The Rock in the fight scene. drool Lawd.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
