I'm hearing the kids in China were stabbed but not fatally... it's funny though, kids are often killed over bullshit each year but it's only giving attention when it's a mass killing like this. We got crazy motherfuckers that will shoot at anything or anyone for any reason that is not sane at all.

I have to agree with you Timmy. The media loves to make a big story... and boy are they doing so.

We had to be on lockdown when i was very young cause a kid brought a machete to school and stabbed 2 people. But it was not talked about outside of my hometown.

This is why I sometimes no longer turn on my television because they always keep fucking reminding you of it. neutral Why not just get the fucker and put him to death and be done with it? But nah people want the fame and money off a story like this. That's what is so sick about it to me. Not as sick as the man who committed the crime but it's right up there.

Haven't had mine on in nearly two weeks, and am beginning to wonder if I might be better without it. I caught my first hint of this tragedy on FB about an hour or so ago, but am certain all the television stations are probably running this story in the ground by now.

I am so angry and sad at this I cannot put it into words. I have a wife who is a school teacher. I have two children who are elementary school students. Those childrren were probably in their last school day before a much anticipated holiday break. I am beyond words.

Those were children, you stupid gutless motherf#@&er. Children!!! Innocent children!

Can't even think straight right now. Absolute tragedy.

My heart is breaking for all of those children and adults who lost their lives today and their families, cry bawl broken but my first reaction when I heard the news was anger. mad pissed Not just that some psycho decided to kill a whole bunch of innocent little children, but that too many of these incidents are occurring all over the place. Today, it was an elementary school; earlier this week it was a shopping mall; the week before that it was an NFL player killing his girlfriend before blowing his brains out in front of his coach; a couple of months ago it was a Sikh temple where people were attending services; last summer it was a movie theater in Colorado, and in too many big cities it's another random shooting in some other place just about every day.

When are Americans going to wake the fuck up and deal with the gun issue in this country?!?!?

I just got off the phone a few minutes ago with my best friend to check up on her and her daughter in light of this tragedy, and she told me that her daughter got into a fight at school today with some punk-ass chick who tried to instigate some incident. Fortunately, it didn't escalate into anything really serious, but then she told me that an acquaintace she knew from church died in police custody today. She basically said she was freaking out over all of this stuff but appreciated that I was thinking about her and her daughter. hug comfort

What the fuck is wrong with people in this country? And why does anyone need to go around packing heat everywhere they go, and start firing away the first time someone looks at them funny? People have go to get their shit together.

Don't forget that dude that got shot in Florida a few weeks ago just for having his music on loud, the shooting by a local gang in Florida against other guys (which was caught on tape) and the shootings that occurred during the 4th of July weekend in Chicago. Gun violence happens here almost every day or almost every week.

Omg confused

I was at the gym and they are playing Cnn on practicaly every T.V with closed captioned. And i seriously can't with these fucking reporters.

They where asking police shit like ''When are you moving the bodies?, how long will they be there? have you let in the families to see the bodies of their children? eek , How many shots where hit the children?''

This shit is way more morbid than any T.V show you could ever watch.

I don't mean any harm but I know I'll probably get flack for this anyway, but I'm going to say it, I think these incidents go way deeper than gun control laws. These cowards who go into these public places killing innocent people go in with intentions to KILL targets. Point blank. Guns are the weapon-yes, guns are easy to access - yes...however the real issue here is not the weapon used, it's whatever is driving folks to casually walk into these places killing innocent adults and little children as if it's an acceptable way to handle their life frustrations. If there were no such thing as guns available or even if gun laws were changed....then SOME OTHER WEAPON would had been used regardless. disbelief It's appalling and it really isn't known how to prevent such tragedies-which to me, is the scary part.

[Edited 12/14/12 13:13pm]

The floodgates have opened. Many, many precedents inside the USA to this shooting. A completely unstabilized person like this guy, knows how easily mass murders like this have been committed in the past and so raid their parents gun cupboard looking to unleash their fury.

The next culprit will be watching this on TV now and googling how to reload their parents weapons.

Who has the guts to attempt to stop this cycle?

Guns are just too easy. Pull a trigger. Boom. Death. It's childs play.

I do not think guns are the issue.... this guy would have taken ANY opportunity to kill. His rage led him to FIND a gun and do evil.

Its the "rage" I take issue with... mental health issues are ignored here, unless you want to pop pills.

Many do not seek help and many family menbers never want to come to terms with any dysfunctional behaviors they witness and live in denial hoping issues will just "go away".

Social cues and behaviors are at a down turn to non-fuctional, people have no coping skills and live their lives through a computer screen. Hell, people do not even know how to talk to one another, let alone know how to communicate to reavh out during a time of crisis.

People are just becomming bigger assholes that feel entitled to do and say what ever they please, and now thanks to inforamtion at your finger tips you can now arm yourself through Craig's List and go on a rampage if someone fucks with you.

People are smarter and angrier... people are more likely to care about a random puppy than they are about their sick elderly neighbor.

We can only blame ouselves and we need to start learning how to care about other people.

OK... sorry about the venting... I am upset.

It's infinitely harder to kill 28 people without access to a gun.

If he had a knife and went on a rampage, he'd be doing well to get a couple of victims at most.

Agreed. Healthcare for everyone including people with mental issues, combined with gutsy new gun regulations would go a huge way to haulting the massacres in the long term. It'd almost be like the USA was a proper first world society in the 21st century...
