A "natural" hairstyle is not dependent on texture, you can have curly or extra curly kinky coiled hair and as long as it's not processed, it's natural. Natural, just to clarify in this case, is referring to the time honored Afro.

She is wearing a wig there, but when her hair is long, with a shorter length sans straightening, nor moisturizing products to retain her curls in a neat loose coil, Halle could very easily poof her hair out to have a good old fashioned "Sylvers" style Afro if she wanted.

I think she probably had her natural in deep twists or whatever... or maybe it was the design. Kinda reminded me of Diana Ross' "Swept Away" punk hairdo in the '80s to be honest lol

All that weave and stuff just seems so fake and prostethetic. I'd go out with a girl who rocks a fro over a wig or puts on chemicals anyday.

Besides, noone wears their hair how anyone else wants them too... they wear it how THEY want to, its people like you who are making it a race thing... It a style, plain and simple.. My hair is straight but i used to perm it... her hair may be curly but she likes it straight.. BFD..

And not all people look good in certain hairstyles and it doesnt mean im a racist if I say Prince looked like shit in his afro, or i think Halle is prettier in short straight hair.. Halle wears her hair f**king close cropped shaved to her head most of the time. How is that following a racist beauty standard ? And please keep in mind that most African Americans are in fact, of mixed race to varying degrees. *Uh oh, bad news for Halle Berry

On Friday the actress a heartbreaking loss in court.

A judge ruled she cannot permanently move her 4-year-old daughter Nahla to France.

For months Halle had been fighting with Gabriel Aubry, her baby daddy, to take Nahla to Paris, where Halle wants to live with her fiance Olivier Martinez.

Halle argued the L.A. paparazzi scene made life in California too dangerous for her and her daughter — but today the judge in the case ruled in favor of Gabriel, refusing to let Halle jet to France with their kid.

The full details of the ruling are unclear — but one thing’s for sure … Halle did NOT get what she wanted.

Sources close to Halle tell TMZ, she never wanted to remove Gabriel from Nahla’s life — she merely believed France would be safer for everyone involved.

This is kind of a half story, though.

Okay, so she can't move her to France permanently.

But doesn't sound like there's anything in the way of allowing Nahla to live their part time with her mom. Besides, I don't see Halle living in soley in Europe permanently anyway: while there are many American actors that do reside here, they always maintain homes in the US as well, splitting time between continents.

Anyhoo, I agree that France would be a safer place to raise her; I think we have long since gone overboard in our obsession with celebrities and I think they deserve breathing space when they are not on the clock. A lot of times when I'm trend tracking fashions A-list Hollywood is wearing (for work), I can't tell you how many times you find a Halle Berry photo that was taken by paps outside of her baby's school- it's sick and I don't support that at all. Anyway, hopefully all will work out for the best for everyone involved.
