Basquiat hair!

how, do you mean in the concept of his art, or that he wore his own hair in dreads?

I just recall a picture of him with hair kinda like hers in that picture. Like the picture you posted. Beautiful.

She's hardly walking down the street like that. After the shoot she took all that stuff off pulled on her jeans and t-shirt ran her fingers through her hair and went on about her life. But for the whole artistic thing I still like it, like models on the runway kind of thing.

Damn, girl! falloff

Tell us how you really feel.

Back to the matter at hand. That hair is NOT an afro, and it's most definetely NOT her natural hair.

And I agree with the rest of your sentiment here.

Halle Berry has been recently sporting a very natural Afro hair style on the set of her latest movie ‘Frankie and Alice’.

Halle Loses: Judge Rules Actress Can’t Move Nahla to France

0 15 3 0 0 Share19

halle berry nahla gabriel aubry*Uh oh, bad news for Halle Berry

On Friday the actress a heartbreaking loss in court.

A judge ruled she cannot permanently move her 4-year-old daughter Nahla to France.

For months Halle had been fighting with Gabriel Aubry, her baby daddy, to take Nahla to Paris, where Halle wants to live with her fiance Olivier Martinez.

Halle argued the L.A. paparazzi scene made life in California too dangerous for her and her daughter — but today the judge in the case ruled in favor of Gabriel, refusing to let Halle jet to France with their kid.

The full details of the ruling are unclear — but one thing’s for sure … Halle did NOT get what she wanted.

Sources close to Halle tell TMZ, she never wanted to remove Gabriel from Nahla’s life — she merely believed France would be safer for everyone involved.

This is kind of a half story, though.

Okay, so she can't move her to France permanently.

But doesn't sound like there's anything in the way of allowing Nahla to live their part time with her mom. Besides, I don't see Halle living in soley in Europe permanently anyway: while there are many American actors that do reside here, they always maintain homes in the US as well, splitting time between continents.

Anyhoo, I agree that France would be a safer place to raise her; I think we have long since gone overboard in our obsession with celebrities and I think they deserve breathing space when they are not on the clock. A lot of times when I'm trend tracking fashions A-list Hollywood is wearing (for work), I can't tell you how many times you find a Halle Berry photo that was taken by paps outside of her baby's school- it's sick and I don't support that at all. Anyway, hopefully all will work out for the best for everyone involved.

As for the rest of this thread, y'all are cracking me up getting all dig in the earth deep over some editorial photographs that are basically just fantasy f**k-a-rounds on behalf of the crew who coordinated this whole thing lol

with halle being bi-racial, this style is most likely a natural hair style for her

as in

halle's hairstyle would not be considered an afro. alicia keys' natural

several members in my own family are bi-racial [blk/whi] the above hairstyles duplicate their natural (non-chemically treated hair)

Frankie and Alice?

so if the hair style, the hair was puffier on top it would be considered an afro?

the site I got the movie from called it an afro

I don't think that 1st picture style would be considered an afro at all

I've seen quirky styles like that in fashion land a lot, and I've seen them on all ethnic types

I heard/read someone call it kinky punk before

It's a damn mess is what it is.

She looks like a child with a white mama who doesn't know how to do her hair.

I always thought those mothers tend to have a kid or kids with kinky hair

or one of those mothers that make sure their hair and nails are done while their kids look like they just woke up
