I don't think that 1st picture style would be considered an afro at all
I've seen quirky styles like that in fashion land a lot, and I've seen them on all ethnic types
I heard/read someone call it kinky punk before
I love these, they are like a cloud - like a head in the clouds

Like I said...you folks are acting as if she was the person whocam up with the creative concept for this and did her own hair for a fashion editorial. At this point all the harping on it is pretty silly, really. [Edited 11/16/12 7:50am] |

Her hair looks like a shrub, but I love it! I think it's pretty. If she wants to wear a polyester shrub on her head that resembles hair, I see nothing wrong with it.
Halle is gorgeous but I can name tons of other women who are prettier. Her features are a little bland for my taste. She's gorgeous in a mannequin kinda way. Cicely Tyson at her peak was prettier than Halle and so is Diahann Caroll. "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu |

that can be another topic that will never end: who is prettier than who
who is prettier or uglier than Halle is not what it's about, it's about the Interview Magazine Halle Berry photo shoot |

staying within the topic, Halle is very pretty and gorgeous as with Cicely and Diahann. Beauty reflects the generation's pov. |

what about side-bar opinoins? are they not allowed as they have been in the very recent past?
is there a rule about sid-barring while offering another pov or associating similarities on certain (celebrity) people to the celebrity person that is the topic of this type of thread?
is it okay if i say i agree with MidniteMagnet said without creating a whole new thread?

lol, I wonder is there some kind of guideline for how to read/interprete peoples expression by cyberspace
There are times when the others intentions and emotions are clear, but most times people read into anothers email/post etc how they are feeling at the time
I too am very friendly probably too much, I smile a lot, even when I don't mean too
(and you probably know how that can go...people take it for weakness)
I do it all the time though, I'll orgnote someone to make sure I'm reading something clearly before I put out a response |

It's easy to misinterpret responses, especially if you don't know them. Some orgers here know each other, which I find interesting |
