I'll take a shot in the dark...TEX and CIN make it to the Fall Classic and CIN wins the title.

Honestly, I dont know. Teams go on a hot/cold streak and anything can happen. I'm rooting for no one, but I am definitely rooting against the Yanks and Giants.

Mark my word...2013 will be the DODGERS year.

I meant to make a thread about this a couple days ago, so please forgive me for bringing it up here but this seems like the place to do it.

How about that Miguel Cabrera and the Triple Crown!!!!

I've been a baseball fan for the entire 53 years of my life. I remember when Yaz won his, but barely as I was only 8.

This is an unbelievable feat. Historical. Maybe the most impressive season I've ever seen from any baseball player in my life.

A tip of the hat to Miguel Cabrera!

It's strange that people think he doesn't deserve the MVP award this year. The triple crown and his team made the playoffs. What else is there to consider?

Although I give lots of credit to Billy Beane and what he's been able to do over the years, I couldn't care less about ridiculous stats like WAR and SDG GDSQEARTASGD or whatever the hell the sabremetricians use.

RBIs is a useless stat? Really? LMMFAO. I'm supposed to believe that actual act of scoring a run through the batting of a ball is really not an indication of how valuable a batter is?

A Nationals/Orioles WS would be nice. If the Yanks don't make it there of course.

But that would mean the Orioles knocked the Yanks out of the playoffs. confused

The O's starting pitcher tonight has an 0-6 record and 9.38 ERA in six starts at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. You have to do a whole lot of praying.

NL Wild Card Game: STL 6, ATL 3

W: Kyle Lohse (1-0, 3.18 ERA)

L: Kris Medlen (0-1, 2.84 ERA)

Chipper Jones' career ends with a one-and-done playoff exit.

NLDS Game 1: CIN 5, SF 2

W: Sam LeCure (1-0, 0.00 ERA)

L: Matt Cain (0-1, 5.40 ERA)

It didn't look so good for the Reds when Johnny Cueto was taken out of the game while facing his second batter.

In the last hour or so, I've seen three runs score in two games on wild pitches. All three were tying runs at the time. Amazing.

NLDS Game 1: WSH 3, STL 2

W: Ryan Mattheus (1-0, 0.00 ERA)

L: Mitchell Boggs (0-1, 0.00 ERA)

The Nationals won the game with two unearned runs. Defense has been sloppy in these division games.
