Soda needs to be cold. If you offer me a warm soda you're couldn't be more insulting if you called me a fug, retard faggot.
Pop Tarts need to be heated up. Pork and Beans need to be heated up. 3 musketeers candy bars should not exist. Hamburger patties need to be close in size to that of the bun. Hot dogs need to be boiled or barbecued, never microwaved. Onions don't belong in spaghetti or meatloaf. Cooking cabbage should be illegal due to the deadly smell.

I know people who can't eat tomatoes, but love tomato sauce.
I know people who don't drink a drop of their drink until AFTER they finish their meal.
I know people who need separate plates for their "wet" and "dry" parts of the dish.
Personally...I like the "taste" that onions bring to a meal, but if I bite into a piece of onion it makes me gag.
Waht about you??? Ur just plain odd

Because of my mild high functioning autism I have some really weird ones. Autism is usually accompanied with sensory deprivation, in my case taste, my palate is not very wide.
I can't eat odiferous foods like egg salad, coleslaw, curried eggs etc. I can't eat cold salads or any cold creamy suacy things. I can eat cheese burgers, pizzas, slice cheese but not baked or grilled cheese, lasagna, weird or exotic cheeses like feta. I can't eat subway wraps, cheese rolls, paninies, those quiche type things I can't eat stuff like hummuses, dips, tahinies etc, I can't eat complex multi ingredient food like lasagna, tacos, and most mexican food period, the taste makes me feel ill and tastes unpleasant. I can't eat posh food like shrimp, salmon, kingclip of terrine, shark fin, turtle.
And I really can't eat anything with a face or raw or cooked offal. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I always say that people who won't touch certain foods or try things that sound "foreign" are taste disabled. I really do believe it is a disability. My step-father won't try anything that isn't meat and two veg. He's gastronomically retarded.

lol I'm a meat and veggie lover (ain't so much of an oxymoron as one would think) so I'll try anything once.

I would like to add that Deviled eggs are never appropriate, ever.

Not sure if "meat and two veg" translates from Britain. It means having dinner consisting of meat (pork chop for instance) and, say, peas and carrots. Or boiled potatoes, brocolli and sausages. That kind of thing. Came about after the war in this country I believe. Very dull but has become the main way of dining in this country for many, many families.
So when someone says they're a "meat and two veg" person it means they like things simple and don't like to take chances or experience new things. Dull basically. But dependable I guess. [Edited 9/11/12 3:10am]

It was mentioned in here already but my eggs have to be very cooked. If it's runny, it makes me gag . It also happens if I try to eat oatmeal I also always eat candy in a specific color order. When I'm down to my last two favorite colors, I alternate them until they're gone. When I eat peanut butter cups, I always pop the middle of it out, then eat the exterior edges of the cup, then I finish with the middle part that I took out of it

Your peanut butter cup story just reminded me of my oldest...when he eats a chicken nugget, he eats the breading off first, then eats the "chicken" part. It actually grosses me out. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

I think the only thing that is so peculiar about me is I always have disdain for mayonnaise in anything. And I have a strong reaction to ranch dressing on regular bread, it might be good to use on a hoagie sandwich but not on regular bread. I also had a habit as a child eating nothing but mustard and ketchup sandwiches with nothing on it. I think that could be considered weird but I loved it. Haven't done it since I was about seven though.

My oldest brother is the same way, he will not drink anything until after he is done eating. Personally, I don't know how people can do this without their throat getting dry and/or food getting stuck in their throat, but somehow he manages. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

My food peculiarities:
* I can only drink plain water when I am very thirsty. Otherwise, I have to add something to the water to give it some flavor so that it's not so bland (like lemons, limes or a water enhancer).
* I don't like pears. The grainy texture bugs me. The funny thing is, I can eat any other type of fruit except pears.
* I don't like raisins in food, because to me, it looks like a dead bug that got into the food. But yet, I can eat raisins out of the box with no problem.
* I don't like it when I'm eating ice cream and pie (or cake) and the ice cream starts to melt and gets into the pie or cake, making it mushy. I either don't eat ice cream at all, or I put the ice cream on a separate plate or put it into a bowl.
* I have never eaten oysters or clams, nor have I ever had the desire to do so. When I heard people say that they have the rubberiness and consistency of a pencil eraser, that was enough to make me say, "No thanks!" But I love shrimp, lobster and crab.
* I can't eat brussel sprouts or beets, but I love raw mushrooms, caulflower and broccoli.
* I also don't like eggs that are runny (it makes me gag), so I could never order my eggs "sunny side up" or "poached". But I love eggs cooked any other way: Scrambled, fried, or hard cooked. [Edited 9/13/12 3:43am] RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Oh, this one is a REAL stickler with me: I HATE it when someone eats off my plate or drinks out of my glass or bottle. My mom used to be good at doing this, until I finally got her to quit (after telling her numerous times to please not eat off my plate). Now my little niece is starting to do the same thing. The last time I was at her house, I had a bottled water that had a liquid enhancer in it that made the water pink in color. My niece took a swig out of the bottle, not even asking me if she could have a sip. It was only when I saw her drinking out of the bottle that she asked me if she could have a sip, but by then, it was too late. I wound up throwing the rest of the water out when I got home. I'm real funny about other people eating off my plate or drinking out of my glass or bottle. I'm not a germaphobe (if you saw how messy my house gets, you would understand), but who know what germs someone has in their mouth? Ick! I work two jobs, and cannot AFFORD to get sick and miss work. I have to learn to hide my water bottle and/or to keep it with me at all times, so that this does not happen. Does anybody else get turned off by someone eating off their plate or drinking from their glass or bottle? RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

i love most food, cooked all ways..im actually not fussy BUT
love icecream but NOT from a cone.. ever seen an old person licking 4 all their worth, obscene! put me off cones.. all that spit & tongue grooves.. give me a (big) pot & spoon
i'm the same with juicy fruit. i carry a small paring knife, i have to cut it neatly so i don't get peach/pear/apple juice running down to elbows AND spit & teeth grooves.
also bananas. i can't peel one & eat it like a monkey, i have to break it off in2 mouth size bits b4 i stuff it down the hatch
i love cake but won't touch birthday cake if someone has blown out candles.. germs/spit/snot
& sharing dips.. when people dip, eat, dip, eat.. chewed food going back in the dip. bloody nasty bastards in fact i'm not keen on buffets/self service full stop
