There's been so many projects for this...I don't think it's EVER going to happen. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Unless Joss Whedon is doing it, forget about any Wonder Woman project. You need someone who's read WW comics, particularly the George Perez stories, and who understands the character. Whedon had the right idea to make changes to her costume - that bathing suit would look ridiculous on the big screen.
That's why you need a dude who thinks like Whedon involved - otherwise you'll get an asswipe like Schumacher who'll make a big-screen version of the silly TV show.
In the DC universe, WW is second only to Supes in power. She deserves the right treatment. Chris Nolan, maybe?

Cool, a film about closing time at my local pub.

Speaking of movie monsters, I wish Peter Jackson would do a remake of the first Gojira(Godzilla) movie. Set it 1950s Tokyo and film it in black & white like the original.

I did not know this.
I mean...she's not bulletproof and can't fly right? (Or am I seriously out of the loop on that?)
OH...and a big YES!!! to your Godzilla idea.
That would be AMAZING! By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

According to wikipedia, WW's powers were increased post-Crisis on Infinite Earths. She can hold her own against Superman and Captain Marvel. She has the ability to fly. Rifle fire can cause her pain, but little injury. Total badass.
A young Lucy Lawless would have been a perfect Wonder Woman.

OH HELL NO don't give wonder woman pants!!!!!!!!!! Thats what killed the NBC project a couple of years ago.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No not Lucy Lawless (at any age). Lucy Lawless looks like some one Wonder Woman would fight. I can see Lucy Lawless playing Big Barda. You need some one really hot to play Wonder Woman, like a Megan Fox (but who can also act).

for the info on her expanded powers! (so NO need for an invisible jet? )
I agree we need an actress with alot of hotness, like Megan Fox, but she can't be anorexic. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Megan Fox??????? HELL NO! C'mon, you can't have some petite chick playing a badass like Wonder Woman. She's gotta be tall, muscular yet feminine. If Uma Thurman hit the weights and dyed her har black, she could play the part. She was rough in Kill Bill.

I said "Like a". And no to Uma Thurman. I think it's best to get an unknown who looks the part.

I'm going to nerd out a bit here, regarding Wonder Woman and her power.
What needs to be stated is that DC has completely rewritten their characters many many times over in their Comic Book Canon:
Golden Age (Pre-Crisis Earth 2) Silver Age (Pre-Crisis Earth 1) Post-Crisis On Infinite Earths Post-Crisis Post-Zero Hour Post-Identity Crisis (Earths 1-52+Qward) Nu-52
Now, the current Nu-52 Earth One Superman is absolutely NOT the most powerful hero. He's intentionally being written powered down. Give that time, though. We all know that Superman is #1.
Wonder Woman, on the other hand, is supposed to be Superman's equal. However, in most eras, she fails in a pair of key areas:
Speed - While incredibly fast, and with some decent speed showings, she does not match The Flash in pure speed. Superman does, and without the help of the Speed Force.
Strength - While incredibly strong, she is not on the same level as Superman.
So we can firmly establish herself as #2, correct? Not exactly.
Captain Marvel (Billy Batson) is Earth's Mightiest Mortal. For a long time, before DC bought the rights, Captain Marvel OUTSOLD Superman! When they were brought together, Captain Marvel was firmly established as Superman's equal in strength and speed. Where Superman had exotic powers like Heat Vision and Freeze Breath, Captain Marvel had no "kryptonite" weaknesses except when he said his own name.
Captain Marvel had a nemesis named Black Adam. Once Black Adam was established as an Anti-Hero in the Justice Society of Amercia, Black Adam was considered equal in power to Captain Marvel, who did not hold back nearly as much. So here is another hero who could be considered superior to Wonder Woman.
Martain Manhunter is arguably the most powerful hero on DC Earth. Not only does he have Wonder Woman's speed, he has Superman's strength, durability, and a form of heat vision. He also is considered the top hero telepath, can be invisible, and can change his shape at will.
On the female side, Power Girl (Supergirl of Pre-Crisis Earth 2) and Supergirl are inconsistantly written in terms of power level. Arguably, however, they would be near Superman's power level enough to at least match Wonder Woman.
I really enjoy reading Wonder Woman comics. To be honest, it's one of the few Nu DC comics I read (along with Earth Two, Animal Man and Swamp Thing).

We are busy fighting Darkseid now

The problem with Darkseid in a Justice League movie is that Thanos is filling that role in Avengers already: A Big Bad playing the heroes and events like Chess.
I would rather see Starro, to be honest. Then to find out it was the Legion of Doom's machinations that brought Starro to Earth. Closing Credits showing the Hall of Doom. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Sandman.. from Vertigo comics? Written by Neil Gaiman? Immensely popular amongst goth kids of the 90's? Had a pretty decent cult following. Change it one more time..
