This is so bad, it has to be shared.... disbelief

'G.I. Joe 2' Director Rea... Universe'

July 31, 2012

The director of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never may be returning to the world of ridiculous man-bangs.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jon M. Chu is in talks to clean up Sony's He-Men and take over the studio's Masters of the Universe film. He'd be working from a script from Predators writers Alex Litvak and Mike Finch, who wrote a script called Grayskull once Warner Bros. outgrew their toys and sold them off--losing a few key accessories in the process, like the old Justin Marks script that had found some popularity online. Unlike the 1987 Masters of the Universe that saw Dolph Lundgren visiting Earth to rescue Courtney Cox, this new script reportedly sticks closer to the cartoons, keeping the action in world of Eternia and returning He-Man's origins to a magic sword and a platitude that transforms him from a man in a pink vest to tiger-riding barbarian.

Chu most recently directed the similarly action-figure-based G.I. Joe: Retaliation, so if the deal works out, this would make him as popular as Transformers and Ninja Turtles producer Michael Bay next time they get on the backlot playground.

If ANYONE can pull off a DECENT live-action film based on He-Man...then he/she is the filmmaker of the CENTURY.

According to Wiki, there is an American-produced Godzilla film coming in 2014. It won't be like that abomination Sony Tristar released in 1998. This will stey true to the Japanese source material. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

The poster and teaser trailer for Godzilla 2014 was shown at the recent Comic-Con. Gareth Edwards is the director.

cool

Actually I think I may've read something about that somewhere.

woot!

That 1998 film really WAS an abomination. disbelief

I enjoy the rubber-suit & miniatures movies where you can see the strings carrying Mothra WAY MORE than that POS.

I hope it's true & I hope they do a good job.

Oh I had an idea about that as a movie. Think Footloose meets flash Gordon. A world (in a world) where music is found to have powers and is thus banned a few underground clubs thrive. The cops have taken several musicians into their ranks to bust the clubs. Prince is one if the best. There is a rumor of a new note of such power that they are desperate to stop it's use. As prince an his team bust the club the note is played and the club I reduced to rubble and prince is buried. But he survives. He is saved be healing music and now mush decide what side he is really on...

Now THAT'Swhat I'm talking about - an unstoppable force of nature, not some fucking iguana who lays eggs and runs away from military fire. Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich did to Godzilla what Joel Schumacher did to Batman. Fucking hacks.
