So...which superhero is next?

With the success of the Avengers, it seems that a Justice League movie is getting serious now.

So I'm sure that they're reviewing every damned comic book character out there trying to get the next blockbuster superhero movie.

nod

If you could choose the next movie hero, who would it be?

Tell us...what's your favorite as-yet-undeveloped superhero that you want to see brought to the big screen???

question

As for me...

...anyone who's been on here long enough knows that I've been pining for a movie focused on DR. STRANGE.

For a while as a kid, he was my favorite character.

With all the advances in CGI and stuff, they could REALLY do a fantastic job with it.

nod

There's talk out there of a movie in the works, but nothing definite.

If he hadn't done Bruce Banner/Hulk...I would say that Ed Norton would be good as the sorceror.

But I wouldn't mind seeing Johnny Depp take a crack at it.

I've always considered Superman and Wonderwoman to be the prom king and queen.

So, obvioiusly, Wonderwoman should be next.

I really enjoyed the Avengers---it was horrendously stupid and not exactly a good movie---but, that's not why you go watch one of these things. lol

But, while I was watching it, I realized just how stupid Comic Book heroes are. It's just all terribly hoakie and juvenile. It boggles my mind that these types of movies are actually so high on full grown adult's wish lists for viewing. I mean, seriously.

That being said, movies like "The Crow" and "Spider-man" are some of my favorite popcorn movies to watch.

The Crow was such an awesomely dark movie that I consider it a different genre.

Not a superhero per se, but I've love to see a remake of "The Creature from the Black Lagoon".

But it can't be some crappy CGI-fest with cheesy, predictable scenes.

It has to be GOOD.

I'm not saying DO AWAY with CGI, but keep it to a minimum.

I personally think purplejedi's facination with full grown men in skin-tight leather and nylon to be terribly cute.

I wish Marvel would do a Luke Cage, Hero for Hire film and set it in the 70s. That would be sweet!

I like Namor, but I don't know if he's popular enough to carry a film. If Marvel's serious about rebooting Fantastic Four, Namor could be the guest star. He's one of the few heroes who can go toe-to-toe with the Hulk.

I think a buddy flick could be funny too. Wonder Man and Beast, or Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.

Marvel came REALLY CLOSE to buying DC way back in the day. Could you imagine a movite like this:

Superman and Spider-Man

or even

Marvel vs DC: ZOMBIES

A great Marvel story, which was a re-tell/update of the Thanos with the Cosmic Cube vs Captain Marvel and the Avengers story. This kicked off the Infinity Series (Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity War, Infinity Crusade) that became a trademark of the 90s (huge events with tons of crossovers into main titles) in the spirit of the Secret Wars marketing.

Oh hell yeah!!! thumbs up! That would be cool as hell.

I agree, unless they make some kind of amazing underwater Atlantis thing with mind-blowing visual effects.

These were the original pages for Marvel: Zombies. They tried to get clearance from DC and DC said no, so they substituted The Sentry for Superman.
