I though she looked just fine the way she was before. No she looks like that serial killer chick who murdered all those men after having sex witht hem. What was her name? They made a movie about it starring Selma Hyack (? too lazy to look it up).

Monster starring Charlize Theron. Great film. Ur right she does kind of look like Aileen Wuornos. Damn why u got me thinking bout that bish. Actually i felt sorry for her. I think men abused her terribly and she just snapped!

Thanky, chile. After I thought about it, I remembered it was Charlize Theron. Wasn't she nominated for a Golden Globe or Oscar for her performance? When I saw her out of makeup & character, I thought she really did an outstanding job. I too felt sorry for her. Men did fuck her over, and I could see how she lost self-respect and turned to her life of crime. Such a sad story.

Unless it's for serious health reasons, I am absolutely against it and find it very unattractive. It's usually a sign of extreme mental weakness, which I find very unattractive.

This may sound harsh, but when you simply aren't hot, read a couple of books, be funny, learn how to apply some make-up and a nice cocktail dress and you'll be alright. Plastic surgery won't save you, it'll actually make it worse.

And, for the record, "mental stress" due to some physical features, as a reason for costemtic surgery, is often over-hyped. Certainly not always, but very often. If you have small boobs, simply don't spend any more time with complete dorks who will only value you on the size of your boobs. By getting plastic surgery all you do is step down to their level of dumbness and superficiality.

Yep, she won the Oscar. Really good performance from her!

As for plastic surgery - my sister-in-law got a nose job and she looks fantastic. And she feels happier. She really does. But then I see some of these celebs who don't even look like themselves anymore. Lara Flynn Boyle, for example. It makes me sad to know people are that unhappy with their own appearance.

I am all for people feeling good about themselves, but it's like their face and/or body becomes this redecorating project. If I get a new couch, those drapes will have to go. And now that table looks odd in here. With some folks, it starts with the forehead or eyes, then goes to lips, then chin, etc. It is really sad.

The other day some friends were at a restaurant and there was a woman there who had very large, very fake breasts and lips. And people weren't staring to say "whoa - she's beautiful!", they were staring in a 'freakshow' sort of way. And she was probably beautiful pre-surgery. Heidi Montag comes to mind.

Just sad, really.

I think it's great if it's tasteful and minimal! Just like a haircut... you can style yourself... except... there is always a risk of complications or accidents with surgery. But if you realize there's a risk and come through with no problems, and you also make changes that work with you not against you... then I think it's great. It's as only as unnatural as fashion or fancy haircuts or makeup.

It's kind of like working out to change your body shape. Some people do it tastefully and then others get into serious unnaturaly obsessive body building that looks wrong and also hurts themselves.

Of course if you change your nose and forget about it, your newborn kid might grow up and remind you unexpectedly!
