here, this link is where you can donate money to fund the search. thanks again!
[Edited 1/30/12 16:55pm] SETI is real scientists using real science to search for life in outer space. They sceptically analyze any odd signals and don't go yelling alien at any anomoly. What they do is exactly what I said in my last post. I have always been a supporter. They are not chasing military flares with pitch forks and torches. So I'm glad you are now starting to see things more clearly. If you are a fan of SETI, I assume you have read Sagan? If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

It’s certainly not a roswell/phoenix light tin-foil hat area, but I actually think the case for seti is quite fuzzy, given how many assumptions we have to make with the drake equation, only having a sample size of one for proven existence of life, assumed technologies and windows of use in a technological world, etc... It’s almost in an area like cold fusion where there’s almost no realistic chance of a payoff – yet I still support doing it because the relative cost is pretty minor and the payoff would be enormous if realized. It's like playing the lottery - you certainly wouldn't put all of your research money into such a field, but we could set a little aside to put into low probability/high yield areas.
Do you listen to podcasts? Rationally Speaking (hosted by Massimo Pigliucci, philosopher of science at City Univercity in NY) did a great summary of the issues and assumptions with seti back in November. A good listen if you’re interested. http://rationallyspeaking...-seti.html [Edited 1/31/12 3:59am]

I'm simply suggesting that back in the days of antiquity people mislabled these ET's as God/The Devil/Angels.
