The St. Louis Rams fired their head coach Steve Spagnuolo and their GM after finishing their season with 2-14 record. And Pittsburgh Steelers fans got some bad news when it was announced that Rashard Mendenhall is out for the remainder of the playoffs after tearing his ACL in the final game of the regular season against the Cleveland Browns.

I keep telling myself that Jake Delhomme has led a team to the Super Bowl, but it doesn't help.

Colts fired Polian. That can't bode well for Peyton Manning. Or maybe more likely, it means Manning will never be the same player he was - if he plays again.

The Bears finally fired Angelo's lame ass. I hope Lovie is right behind him.

Lovie's staying, but Martz is out. Norv Turner & Andy Reid are staying too. Surprised the Polians got the ax - not surprised about Spags & Raheem Morris. Jets need to can Schotty's ass. I want Spags back in NY, but he might be heading to Philly.

Of course, the rumor mill is already spinning that either one of the Polian clan will be asked to replace Jerry Angelo, but some poeple are waiting for the Bears to reach out to Bill Cowher as GM and head coach. Neither person has been contacted yet about this. But I'm a little surprised eek that Andy Reid was kept on with Eagles. That's not to dismiss all of the good things he has done with the franchise the past 13 years, but a lot of people thought he has taken the Eagles as far as they can go under his stewardship, and that it's time for a change. But I'm downright shocked omg omfg shocked that Norv Turner still has his job with the San Diego Chargers. They always have so much talent but underperform every year.

The Eagles need to get rid of the Locker Room Blight, i.e. Vince Young.

Knocking the hated Raiders out of the playoffs saved Norv's ass.

Saints all the way? Well they'll have to beat the 49ers to do that. biggrin

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is it just me or has this Bengals/Texans game had the longest, slowest first quarter in the history of football. Its been almost an hour and its still not over.

Obviously, I don't agree. I'm not sure either one of them could beat the 49ers or the Packers.

Neither would win in Green Bay. Not convinced Alex Smith is gonna get the Niners to the

Super Bowl more or less win one.

It's simple for the Giants - run Bradshaw, stop Turner.

Alex Smith doesn't need to do much but make sure he doesn't screw anything up - it's our defense that matters. I have eyeballs, I can see that Drew Brees is playing out of his mind. But our defense has been insanely good against the pass this season. Should be a good game.

Matt Starfford is a good QB, but could you imagine Calvin Johnson with Drew Brees, Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers? That guy is a beast.

Bring on them Saints.

Edit: g goes after the end in bring, not before.

Don't be surprised if the Giants go into Lambeau and get the win.

Can my Saints go to Frisco and win? Hell yeah they can...they've never won on the road in the post, but the record setting pace they're on right now screams "destiny". Then again, I am biased.

So...NYG drop the Pack, Saints down the Niners...Giants go down to the bayou for the NFC title game and the Saints start packing for Indy.

Its the Niners! lol

I don't really pick games - I'm pretty terrible at it, really. But I'm definitely pulling for the Niners and the Packers.

What I wouldn't give for a Texans/Tebows AFC Championship game in Reliant.

Broncos are screwed now! Tebow won a playoff game! lol

That was a much better game than I was expecting. But if the Broncos defense could have held just one time it wouldn't have gone to OT. The offense had already scored more than enough points for a typical Tebow Bronocs game.

Aww damn Gina! It's gonna be a long offseason in the burgh.

I wish the Donkeys good luck next week as well as the Texans.

My worst nightmare would be the Ravens playing the Patriots for

the AFC Championship but i smell an upset in one of those games.

I can see both games going either way.

The Saints have history working against them, but if there was ever a time for them to break that "never won on the road in the postseason" tag they carry, it's now.

Don't know how good the other games will be this weekend (Texans and Broncos are going to get CRUSHED!), but Saints-Niners is gonna be a bomb ass game. Reliving those late 80s/early 90s NFC West rivalry games.

I don't actively hate any team outisde of New York teams, the Lakers, and the fellow teams in the NFC North, but I find myself LOATHING the Broncos and especially Tim Tebow. Especially this "Tebowmania" bullshit!

I can't STAND him and I ho pe the Patriots beat the brakes off him on Saturday!

It must suck to be Ike Taylor right now.

GO GIANTS!!! If they can run and play defense like that next week, it could get interesting.
