Working, with the occasional org break here and there. And then tonight, on to my French class. After that, out for a glass of wine or two with my good friend Marisa, where we will catch up about various things and perhaps gossip a little about our fellow French class students. But mostly we'll just talk about our romantic misadventures.

The day is coming to an end here, but it was Lucia today - a Swedish celebration of a saint, although it's mostly a celebration of light and song.

This is what the Lucia performances look like:

It's also traditional to eat special saffron buns on this day:

I saw a little 3-year-old dressed up as Lucia in the elevator of my building. She was really cute, and I told her that she was pretty. Her response: "I have a lizard and a frog in my pocket!". lol

Trying not to kill an art director.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Working.

Then meeting my bf at the gym. We workout together a few nights a week. It’s nice to have a workout partner. But we’re not gross about it, I assure you.

Then making dinner. Probably some kind of stir fry. I have tofu and fresh green beans to use up.

And then I will do some cleaning around the house. I was lazy this weekend and it’s a bit of a sty.

Then perhaps watch a little tv or read before bed.

I missed my kids christmas play because I had to be at work. My husband sent me a video, so that was nice. .... But I had a good day at work. It was fun.

Now i'm just killing a little time before I head out to the supermarket. Then i'm planning on doing a quick run before taking a bath and then I have the second half of a film to watch before bed.

Coincidentally, I made plans for dinner tonight at a Scandinavian restaurant here not even knowing it was a holiday. I just got an email from the restaurant notifying me there will be a special menu, free glass of glogg and Lucia girls singing carols.

Cool, good timing! Glögg is pretty good this time of year and I bet you'll love the singing. It's pure choir and very light and airy, like a caress of sound. Hopefully they will include some actual Swedish Christmas songs too, and not just English/American ones.

And if they don't give you any saffron buns, you should tell them that I demand that they give you some! smile

(they're called "lussekatter" in Swedish, if you want to score bonus points when you request them)

I wasn't going to get tickets at first, but I'd end up regretting it, like I did with Hop Farm. So, last night, I ordered them!
