Ok so it has just now dawned on me that there was a lack of vampire movies on Cable this past halloween. Instead, I saw countless trailers for the next Twilight installment where whatsherface is preggo by that Robert Pattinson dude. Whatever.

What I want to know is.....who is your fav vampire/vampires?

I LIKE:

Dracula.

Specifically, the Gary Oldman and Thomas Ian Griffith versions They were sexy as hell. I especially like Thomas because he ate his victims' coochie out and bit her down there. If you gotta be sucked by a vampire, I can't think of a better way.

Blackula.

He was awesome because....well....he was black. You can't go wrong with a blood sucker from Ancient Egypt who speaks proper english, was on an episode of Star Trek playing a mad scientist and has a tight ass fro. Fuck what Eddie Murphy told you. His vampire was a clown and I wouldn't let him bite my used tampon yet alone my neck....or my back.

Those Blade Vampires.

Those are some sick sons of bitches! They fly, jump, can crawl on ceilings, run extremely fast and they all know kung fu/jujitsu. One of them had the nerve to be an ancient Sumerian.

So what vampire holds that special place in your heart...er uh....DVD/Blue Ray collection.

Well I dropped out of the whole vamp genre after Underworld, which I liked the rules and the genre pretty much, so I'm not even familiar with the more modern ones. Gary Oldman's immediately comes to mind when it comes to style. A long while back I was really into the Anne Rice vampires, until they started becoming superheroes with superhero powers then I got bored. And sorry it was Armand, not Marius that Antonio played. I wish Anne hadn't made him a 14 year old boy in her books, personality wise, I liked him the best, he was viscious and unpredicable, unfortunely it was in the guise of a frail boy and not the movie man it all had to be about Lestat, left no room for no other, he was a'ight just didn't quite hit the spot. I liked Blade, but he was only half vampire, the strength without the nasty appetite. I liked Eddie's too, though some of the rules I'm wasn't too crazy about, vampires making babies don't set well with me, it's creepy.

I hang my head in shame, how in the hell did I forget about Black Hat, I really really liked Black Hat, a bit campy but still too bad he was only a small part in the Priest movie and they had the nerve to kill him off.

I forgot about Aaliyah's Queen of the Damned, can't say I liked that movie it strayed too far from the books style, though I had absolutely no problem with Aaliyah playing the role, it satisfied my issue with Anne's books overall, the other characters were too flat and too much sexuality without the sensuality

Gary Oldman was a very romantic Dracula. For "hotness', Antonio Banderas as Marius, Brad Pitt as Louis in Interview with the Vampire & Stuart Townsend as Lestat in Queen of the Damned. The scariest looking for me was the actor who played in "Nosferatu".

Female vampires- Kate Beckinsale and Salma Hayek.
