Since October is here, I think it's time to make a thread about one of my favorite things......Horror Movies! What are some of your favorites? I can pretty much watch a horror movie anytime [just like I normally do], So please share covers {if possible} of some of your favorites......Here's some of mine [I will continue post new horror movie covers for those you who have no clue where to begin]...

I remember Demons from the 80's, scared the shit outta me as a kid. My favorites are:

The Sixth Sense

30 Days Of Night

There's more, but that list is what I can think of atm.

There is a difference between "horror" and "slasher"...

I hate movies where the bad guy just runs around cutting people up. That's not scary; it's gross.

I like movies where you sit up half the night like because they F'd with your head....

I HATE slasher films... I also hate ones that have tons of torture scenes... Give me a possesion ANYTIME!

I love the old late 70's & early 80's slasher films. Those were exploitation flicks....I like exploitation films.

I don't mind slashers, I can't take them seriously though, but they're entertaining. I don't mind gore either.

I got a Hostel boxset (Hostel 1 & 2, and Hatchet) a couple of weeks ago But I haven't watched any of them yet, a few of my friends want to see them so I'm waiting until I invite them over one day.

Me either. I love fall, October and all of the pretty/creepy things that comes with it. I feel like a giddy little girl looking for scary movies I've never seen before. My family teases me because I refuse to watch Tales From The Hood. That shit is scary with them little dolls and folks coming back from the dead to get their revenge.

You're scared to watch "Tale From The Hood"? I know about movies that'll corrupt your mind...

"28 Days Later" is a great movie, I like the sequel too. The Hostel & Hatchet movies are dope!

I do agree that part 2 was silly (yet entertaining) and parts 3 & 4 (why? $) pure shit though...

I've just never been able to grasp why that series is so popular. I've never found "The Ghost face Killer" all that scary. Being that they are just regular people [unlike Michael Myers or Jason], & only carrying a knife, I don't find them intimidating at all....shit, part 4 might have had lamest killer of them all....

I've just never been able to grasp why that series is so popular. I've never found "The Ghost face Killer" all that scary. Being that they are just regular people [unlike Michael Myers or Jason], & only carrying a knife, I don't find them intimidating at all....shit, part 4 might have had lamest killer of them all....

the scary thing about Ghostface (at least the first time you watch the movie) is that it looks like an untra-fast, ultra-agressive, ultra-smart and ultra-crazy version of Michael Myers, who was slow as a motherfucker, and the guy even had to use his "demonic" possession in order to survive, lol

Yeah, Michael Myers was mentally challenge too. So he didn't seem to feel pain & could just pop up outta nowhere. Jason was pretty much a zombie, so they couldn't be killed seemingly. GFK was scary from the "what's your favorite Scary Movie" type angle. But when you figure out if you had a gun, you could take'em out, it just take away from the horror to me....

yeah yeah, that's true. I read somewhere that the GFK was scarier for girls (rapist attitude, girls usually don't own guns, etc) than for the boys...
