The only thing I liked about the remake was that kick-ass house.

It's funny you mention your mom taking you to see these movies. MY MOM did too!!!

When I was 6 my very first movie (at the movie theater) was Snow White.

My second movie (still 6 years old...at the movies) was Halloween. faint

That's where it all started to go wrong. Lets have a seat on the couch and talk about it, okay?

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

I'm a bit skeptic on the whole thing. But who know it could turn out to be way better than the first. Like Jeepers Creepers 2 was waaaaay better than pt1. nod

I won't even mention that my mother had me wait in the car and came out the house in a bedsheet and glasses (I'm sure you know the scene) after we got home from Halloween. She thought it was hiiiiiilarious. sigh

There is a difference between "horror" and "slasher"...

I hate movies where the bad guy just runs around cutting people up. That's not scary; it's gross. confused

I like movies where you sit up half the night like eek because they F'd with your head....

nod

I like psychological thrillers, paranormal and demon movies, and movies that are twisted. But I drew the line at The Human Centipede. I sat in front of the TV many nights staring at it on Netflix...remote in hand inches away from 'select.' I just couldn't do it. And I've seen some twisted movies.

I also like 'old' classic horror, but I don't like Legosi. I like Karloff and most of his movies, but there's just something so fake about Legosi. shrug I love the Hammer films with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.

Some of my faves...

The original Village of the Damned...

1981 with Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani. This link has some eerie screen shots of the movie...

I think the website just says "coming soon" ...I've been told it should be available to pre-order back end of next week. Must admit, I've had the odd issue with their website to...keeping meaning to mention it to my editor Denis.

That other book looks good. Give me a shout when it arrives and let me know if its any good.

It did arrive and it's good! Just read a blurb about Speilberg checking out gay clubs in NY for research when he was considering making "Cruising". Fun reading that gets into the personalities that made the groundbreaking 70's horror films.
