We've lost great artist to drug use! We're losing many friends & family members to it as well. I'm sick of hearing about this & I'm anti-drugs from here on out....

But I do wonder.......has anyone ever died from a weed overdose?

Soooo lemme get this straight... Weed is against the law, but alcohol, which CAN and does kill you is not... You cant die from weed nor have I ever heard of someone high on weed killing someone, but people who comsume so much alcohol black out, kill people, and can die from alcohol poisoning, is perfectly legal...

I still believe that weed is only illegal because the government can't control the $ made off of it, just like with a bunch of other "illegal" stuff.....

from here on out? you should ALWAYS be anti-drugs. drugs are awful.

it's not that they can't make money off of it. They would make less if it was legal. Think of how many arrests it creates. That in turn creates lawyer fees, court fees, costs, probation fees, mandatory class fees....etc. etc.

It's all about the money, that's all it's EVER about.

Pills, alcohol, tobacco....go down the list........all legal and killing every single day.

Yes they are all potentially harmful and I don't agree with the practice of these substances, but if others want to do it socially, we can't stop them. And I find it silly how there are shisha bars everywhere yet weed isn't legalized? People say THAT'S good for you? It's still smoke too IMO

a car accident isn't an overdose! and do you know the statistics of traffic fatatlities directly attributed to marijuana use? I do, and it's dumb low.

I never said it wasn't harmful. Yes, the smoke is still harmful, but again, it's low. There isn't much toxic content in marijuana smoke. You breathe more toxic stuff out in the world.

I wasn't making an argument for it's legalization, I was answering the OP's question.

Making tobacco and alcohol illegal would lead to more crime and more problems. Prohibition doesn't work. Prohibition on marijuana is not working, everyone involved agrees, including the DEA.

Weed is just the start of a journey that will lead 2 taking other drugs....im sure there r people who only use weed but here in the u.k. weed always leads 2 harder drugs and a downward spiralling in2 the class A stuff....

So many more people die in car accidents because of alcohol. And how many people who don't even smoke tobacco themselves die because others who are around them do? I agree that weed isn't healthy either, but either weed, alcohol and tobacco all should be legal or they all should not be legal.

Well the ones I know are not from the UK, but that's because I don't know that many people from the UK .

I can't even get into this shit again, but I do want to say a couple things real quick.

First, show me how many people are killed while driving high, or how many people are killed by them. You find the facts and post them. Have fun with that.

Second, the government would make HUGE amounts of money if marijuana was legalized. Not only from the taxation or sales of the drug, but because they would be spending far less prosecuting and jailing those involved in crimes related to it. Plus, the money they would make would more than cover the costs of all their other remaining anti-drug programs and it would allow them to focus on stopping the dangerous drugs from crossing our borders as the need to smuggle in herb would drop dramatically. It would also create jobs and help support small farms in America because someone would have to grow it, harvest it and protect the frields. And I could go on and on and on... but I won't.

I would STRONGLY disagree with that statement (the first one) as I know about three people who DON'T smoke weed and not one of them does anything else. Most of them don't even drink. I've known THOUSANDS of people who smoked in my life and probably less than fifty of them did "harder" drugs. Marijuana does not cause you to suddenly get an urge to do coke or heroine or whatever. The thought that it would is laughable. The highs from other drugs is comletely different in every way. People make those choices all on their own, it has nothing to do with smoking herb.

OMG don't get me wrong. I appreciate a girls night out haha were sloppy drunk fun every now and again. (Which these days only takes me two drinks and I'm calling my husband to come pick me up lol). Alcoholics are a different story.

Anyways were getting off topic. But it's Addiction period that hurts others. If you do anything in moderation (with the exception of like meth and shit like that obviously)

Anyways, any stronghold that you allow to take control of your life is bad albeit weed, alcohol, dieting, AHEM playstation, whatever......that is bad and hurts others around you.
