I think you mistakenly think that I hate gay people or do not like them but that is not the case at all. When I was in that lifestyle my eyes were opened up to an incredible unhappiness and unfulfilled longing in almost every gay person I met. Males and females. I saw that the women were needing companionship and the men promiscous sex. Even the men in supposedly commited relationships. I saw that those needs were never fulfilled. And while I was immersed in gay people, my eyes were opened to the fact that they are almost never truly happy. I'm not being a bitch when I say this, it's what I observed. My friends who are gay are still searching searching searching and they never find what they are looking for. And I have felt so happy and fulfilled since leaving all of that behind. I know that I'm clearly on the outskirts when I say this but it is a sickness and the devil is behind it. The devil wants us to think "If it feels good do it" and people are doing whatever they feel like to whomever they feel like and look at the outcome, more and more people are dying of AIDS. And I know this applies to hetrosexuals who are having promiscious sex as well. And all of this "It gets better" campaign that's going on in HOllywood, with stars talking making public service announcements about how you should "hang in there" "It gets better" and all of that is a bunch of bullshit. It does not get better. It usually just gets worse. It's a fact. Don't hate me for saying so I honestly wish you the best.

It gets amazingly better. Of course, you do have to do a little bit of work yourself to make it better...starting with realizing that it's not a sickness and it's not of "the devil." It's just the way you are, like being blonde or brunette or short or tall or whatever.

I can handle almost everything you've said without letting it bother me, except for the line about how gay people are almost never truly happy. I'm happy as all get out.

Well, I think it's fucked up that nowadays no one is able to disagree with homosexuality. If they do then they're automatically donned "dumbasses" and portrayed as hypocrytical religious zealouts. You can do what you wanna do and good for you but people have the right to disagree and you should respect that. THE BIBLE DOES SAY THAT A MAN SHOULD'T LIE WITH A MAN. It says it. Period. So get mad at the Bible. And good for the guy in the article whose become a Christian. Life will be much simpler and much easier for him. It is possible to change and that change is for the better! biggrin Peace

Well, for ages now, nobody has been able to agree with homosexuality without being considered an outcast so if disagreeing with it nowadays makes them an outcast makes them an outcast, then maybe it's just a matter of what goes around, comes around. Doesn't feel very good now does it? But then again, it's about time that people that hate us get the pleasure taken out of their hate. But you're just not looking in the right places. Come to Mississippi, you won't be alone. Most people down here are full of hate when it comes to homosexuality so you'll feel like you're in hater's heaven.

And as for laying with a man, you left off the part where it says "as if it were a woman". When I lay with a man, I'm not doing it as if I was laying with a woman because if I lay with a woman, the only thing that's going to happen is sleep. A man in my bed isn't going to get any sleep.

Your ignorance continues.

AIDS??

Really?

You do realize that most cases of AIDS and HIV on the planet arecaused by heterosexual transmission?

Go preach on that . . . . .

See you when you get back.

You're probably right. AIDS is probably spread as much *but I doubt more than homosexuals* by heterosexuals and you do know why that is don't you? The men on the "down low" passing that stuff on to their straight wives. We all know AIDS first came about from bath houses where gay men were engaging in sex with many many partners. Diddn't you yourself just write a post about three guys in one night or something? I think you did. Don't get mad at me because your promiscuous. I'm not saying God doesn't love you or doesn't answer your prayers. That's ridiculous. Of course not. And I myself was a lesbian in my twenties and I know that Satan was behind it. I turned my back on that lifestyle and I'm so glad that I did. It's sickening. Gay people are always looking for something they will never capture. Never. You just never will. And I don't hate you. And I don't hate me for having been gay. But even when I was in that lifestyle I knew that the Devil was lurking. It's just the truth. Be mad.

And those are the men that you should be mad at, not us. And those men are not "heterosexual" by no means. They are closeted bisexual men who would stick their dick in a hole in the ground if they thought they could get an orgasm from it. They call themselves straight despite what they are doing with the same sex and if they ever get caught, then they try to weasel their way out of facing the discrimination we face by calling it "experimenting" and the first thing they holler is "I was just getting sucked, I wasn't doing the sucking" as if that still makes them still straight. They are the weakest minded men on the planet and the worst gay bashers there are. They have no respect for either the men or the women that they fool around with.

I've exposed them for years and the straight world acts like they don't exist. A 100% straight men is hard to find and from what I've seen through the years, it's always been that way. I have even busted them out to their women and do you think those women turn around and call them "fags" like they call us (and believe me, these men deserve to get that treatment and I long to see them get it). No, the stupid women fall for those weak "experimenting" excuses, or the "I was just using that fag" excuses. Well, a "straight" man does not get his dick sucked by a man and does not fuck a man, even if he's not the one doing the sucking or getting fucked.

The hate that the straight world has against us when it comes to AIDS is directed at the wrong people. Direct it at those lowdown "trade" motherfuckers. They've only recently been known as "down low" men and from what I've seen since that term came out, it's not a true depiction of what they are because true trade would never admit they are anything other than straight, ever, not even to themselves. These "down low" men I've seen on TV appear to me as confused closeted butch queens rather than trade. Trade can be any man and the biggest trade in the room is usually the biggest thug in the room talking the loudest hate against us. They are not only a problem to your community but to ours as well....well, for those of us gay men who have pride and self esteem and aren't going to be looked down upon by them just so we can get some dick from them. Direct your anger at them instead of us. Hell, gay men and straight women should band together and beat the hell out of them. lol

More ignorance. Do a lil reading on the It Gets Better campaign and then come back to this.

Stating opinion as fact just pisses me off BUT this time, I just pity you.

I'm just stating my opinion. And I started with saying that it's as though people opposed to a gay lifestyle are not supposed to have an opinion and your just backing that up. As for this It Gets Better Campaign, I understand that it is supposed to be with good intentions and all of that but it's a load of rubble. Why not teach kids right from wrong? Why not help them with their issues instead of saying, "that's right honey! You're a Gurrrllllll.... You go!" when truthfully they need maybe some therapy and guidance not a sex change and a rainbow decal? I'm just tired of all this leading our youth down the wrong road because in this day and age everything goes. Everythings going to keep going and going until God eventually sends a flood. And you know you can see it coming. Call me ignorant. I don't care.

You are ignorant. God promised never to destroy the world with water again. So no, I'm not waiting on another flood.

I just think that it has gotten to the point where someone who does not agree with homosexuality has no right to voice their opinion. You have the right to yours and I have the right to mine.

You have a right to be who you are just as I have a right to be who I am. If someone wants to be a bigot, they're still free to do so, last time I checked but it's just as irrational as worrying about what someone's skin or hair color is. Heck, the bigots think about gay sex more than I do!! However, your right to "voice" an opinion ends when it begins to restrict/deny civil rights. Once you realize that, why are you so interested to talk about it? It carries no more importance then your opinion on whether I should eat brussel sprouts or not.

Also, before you start quoting dusty verses from the bible, I hope your life is free of shellfish and clothing made of mixed fibers - otherwise you're just being a hypocrite. ..but you've been posting a mess of ill-informed crap in this thread so hypocrisy is the least of your problems on this issue, I'm sure. Those that fret over what other adults are doing in the privacy of their own bedroom tend to have fairly sad lives of their own, IME.

I've been with the same partner now for nearly 23 years. I'd wager that's longer than most straight people my age have been in a longterm relatonship. Outside of a few bumps in the road, I've been perfectly happy and the times I've not been - have had absolutely nothing to do with my orientation - except when dinosaurs such as yourself try got get all 'holier-than-thou' and think they have some "god-given-right" to try and control my life. I know plenty of people gay and straight and there's really not much difference between them.

Of course, I was born gay. People choose to be religious. People can choose to be bigots but I think there's a cure out there somewhere. Meanwhile, the dinosaurs should take cover. The comet's already struck, they just don't know it yet.

Are you seriously suggesting that people shouldn't disagree with your derogatory statements about them because it's disrespectful to your religion???? lol lol lol

If you're going to be a bigot, then just own it.

I am so sick of "Christians" using Bible quotes to justify their bigotry. Didn't the Bible also say love your neighbor??? You are uncomfortable with the reality that is homosexuality? Fine, but you better start getting used to it as the tide is slowly turning to acceptance, as people realize this isn't something you can change. It's in your DNA and is NOT a sin...it's NATURE. I live the best I can to the words of Jesus, try to do the right thing at all times, love without jugement, and love, respect, and am commited to my partner. I am not perfect, but am very happy and at peace as I am living the life I am designed to lead. Life is a lie when you don't come to terms with you really are.

Okaaaayy. rolleyes

[Edited 6/20/11 5:08am]

I'm hardly committed.

I'm usually considered the "straightest gay man" people know.

I don't hang out in gay establishments, unless I'm looking for sex.

Otherwise, no reason for me to be there.

Most of my friends are straight males. They don't worry about me hitting on them.

Hey Suprman! You sound like my West Coast counterpart! No one has a clue I am gay until I tell them. My best friends are straight, and the fact I am gay is simply not an issue. When we go out with their wives and girlfriends and me with my partner as a group, its as comfortable as it should be. Their was a little awkwardness when I first came out, but they all saw I am the same person I always was, they just know a little more about me now....thus only strengthening our friendship. I lost ONE friend when I came out, but have a strong feeling he is gay as well and it was just a little too much reality to deal with. I say too bad for him. I am here if he wants to come back.

Like I said before, being gay is such not a big deal...and as straight people become more comfortable with it the closer we become in being truly equals (and that is where this country is VERY slowly heading towards..esp for younger generations). My sexuality does NOT define me...it's just part of who I am...said and done.
