On men, I usually also prefer long hair. I used to be completely exclusive to long haired men. Well my bf may have long hair (dreadlocks), but he is a masculine looking man and I have long her too, just shorter than his and I am a very feminine looking woman. Oh and he is taller than I am .

I don't know, with it short it was definately more "cutesy" and long feels more "womanly" so I don't know- but my husband always liked it short. I'd have to say though, that it looks better long, but I loved it short- I did mohawks, all kinds of crazy stuff - but alas, I got too old (around 36) I decided I'd better let it grow - can't be a middle aged woman with a fauxhawk!

When women get short hair it still needs to be styled. I hate those cuts that look like a camp councelor would wear. Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor, Lena Horne, and many others use to rock short hair and look sexy and feminine.
