OH, NOOOOO! I loved him as Columbo. He was also great in "A Pocket Full of Miracles." I didn't know he had Alzheimer's. Such a shame.

I loved his portrayal of unkempt detective Lt. Columbo. The perpetrator knew that he or she had aroused suspicion whereupon Columbo uttered the phrase: "Oh, just one more thing has been bothering me..."

May you rest in peace, Mr Falk.

Is Columbo worth watching? They have it on DVD I think. It will probably start airing on TV Land too.

I'll remember Mr. Falk for his performance in John Cassavetes film, A Woman Under the Influence. If you've never seen this film it's worth seeing.

May Peter Falk RIP. dove

I guess 83 is, how can I say it, a good age to go - especially if you're sick. I think Columbo is one of the most iconic TV characters of all time, so he's certainly left a mark in his life. I should really catch up on the movies he appeared in.

One of my favorite movies of all time "The Balcony" (1963). Featuring Peter Falk, Shelly Winters (lesbian kiss scene and all), Leonard Nimoy (pre Star Trek). It's slow pace, but good. 90% of the movie takes place in the whore house. One of my favorite unintentional funny moments is when Leonard Nimoy's character says, "That's not logical." This movie based on the absurdist play is wonderful. In fact Prince should watch this and understand the roles we all play in society.

RIP Mr. Falk.

One of the few older actors to have passed away in recent years that I was actually aware was still alive. So many others I thought had already passed away before they actually had.

I LOVED Peter Falk, always considered him very handsome. I was sad to hear of his passing, though was unaware that he was battling Alzheimer disease. In retrospect, perhaps his forgetful, bumbling sort of "oh, one more thing ma'am" character on Columbo wasn't far from where he was heading in later life.

May Mr. Falk be resting peacefully. rose

And he was such a brilliant actor, some of his scenes in Columbo wouldn't even involve dialogue. You could almost see his brain putting 2 + 2 together, until he'd snap his fingers and run out of the room. You knew at that point he had figured that shit out, lol. That was half the fun of the whole Columbo series; watching him put the pieces together. Also, in watching the perpetrator (who always thought they were smarter than Columbo) go down! And it was usually because of one little thing they overlooked, lol.
