Christina Aguilera is to be the first star immortalized on Hollywood's new Gay Walk of Fame.

The 'Beautiful' singer, who recently finalized her divorce to ex-husband Jordan Bratman, will become the first inductee at the new attraction at West Hollywood eatery, The Abbey, by cementing her hands and feet in the sidewalk.

ALL the folk who've made a substantive positive impact for LGBTs around the world -- many of them still alive despite extraordinary adversity -- and Christina Aguilera gets the honor of first recognition!?!

On second thought...if the gay walk of fame is anything like the traditional hollywood walk of fame then she most likely paid to be the first inductee. I forget what the going rate is for the hollywood walk of fame...somewhere around $200K I've heard.

God, I certainly hope so! And assuming they can and will, there's no way in hell I'd have given this to any living act before I gave it to, say, Liz, Marlene Deitrich, Cole Porter, Freddy Mercury, Sylvester, Liberace, Noel Coward, Moms Mabley, Rainer Fassbinder, Sir Lawrence Olivier, Andy Warhol... I could go on forever!

And then Aguilera has the NERVE to show up to this thing in friggin' lingerie and sings our praises in the press around not surviving and thriving in today's sociopolitical climate, but... giving good bedroom advice. Yeah, way to honor us!

Gay Walk of Fame at the Abbey. Hilarious. The Abbey is the reason why I avoid West Hollywood. It represents the vapid, shallow, banal side of gay LA. So actually this makes perfect sense.

And there are SOOO many more, many of whom I wouldn't know either! I'd go so far as to say the entertainment industry would be a mere shell of itself without the critical involvement of LGBTs over the past century.
