Skynet Became Self-Aware Tonight!! Schwarzeneggar, Vin Diesel May Be Sent To Kill John Connor
Hug your children and start stockpiling bottled water: Today’s the day that Skynet becomes self-aware. In the timeline originally established by James Cameron’s original Terminator movie, April 19, 2011 was the day that a vast network of computers, known as Skynet, became self-aware. It would eventually take over the planet, set about wiping out humanity, and send a robot which looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger back in time to kill John Connors.

Yea, well Jupiter ignited and Europa became a water world over a year ago. Top that!

I think we're overdue for a zombie or two as well. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I've always found sci-fi fascinating.
It seems like most of the time, we completely mis the timeline of events or we're way way too optimistic about our technological capabilities.
Robots that walk and think like we do. Self-aware computers (though I think that's very possible in our lifetimes) Living to 150 or 200 years eradication of disease
....But I love is when sci-fi is not optimistic enough about the future. Future worlds that lack cellphones or communications capabilities.
Computer terminals (like in Alien, Aliens, etc.) which have green screen terminals the size of a small book Future worlds with no mention of an Internet
I find sci-fi just absolutely fascinating.

I would've sworn that in the movies they say Skynet goes aware on August 29th. "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day | |

Yep. If you're going by the non-TV version, anyway.
