Really? Aww, bless ya!
Childbirth doesn't make me cry, or actually feel overly emotional at all. Even when I had my own two I asked the midwife if it was weird that I wasn't crying or emotional about my newborn child. It all kicked in when my milk came in.
I ALWAYS cry when a baby is handed to their mum for the first time, even if it's a shitty re-enactment in a movie. |

I didn't cry when I had my babies though, first one I was too busy puking to even look at him until they upped my blood pressure and stitched me up, the next one I was so elated I was doing wheelies in the corridor with a wheelchair and the last one, I was so pleased I got up and had a shower and ate sushi LOL, but didn't cry. |

I know you said you'd have a c-section, but DON'T DO IT
it takes 6 weeks+ to feel normal again, and that's on TOP of everything being upside-down with a new baby at home! My second 2 were born naturally and that's sooooo much easier! |

I never understood that --- the unconscious thing; labor seems to take sooo long in some women.. one of my aunts was in labor for like 36 hours with her 2nd baby..
I don’t know how that worked, either. My first one I was in labor 4 days, first 2 ½ days I hadn’t dilated enough to be admitted so they kept sending me home, I would walk around in the house for a while to try to dilate then go back to the hospital, finally got admitted to troubled maternity ward of the hospital for a few hours, it was so peaceful and calm there, I dilated enough to be admitted to the regular section, but it was so slow going, even after they broke my water that on the 4th day I ended up having a c-section. They knocked my dehydrated, exhausted butt out; I was too through by that time. The second one I just scheduled a c-section, because I couldn’t see myself going through that again, but I was fully awake for that one, got to kiss his big ole fat speckled pink cheeks and frown because I wondered why the hell was my baby speckled pink. The doctor’s timing was perfect, when I was admitted my labor was starting.
Wait, are you one of the pregnant ones around here?

Hmmm.. I wonder how much a surrogate would cost to carry my fertilized egg(s)...?

cloning would be cool...
either babies, or full grown - like in that movie, "Multiplicity" (so they can help me at work and I can have some time to myself!) Hag. Muse. Web Goddess. Taurean. Tree Hugger. Poet. Professional Nerd. Geek.

Okay, I didn't want to scare you especially if it would have been your first time.
but, eh, that was 24 years ago, long in the past, they're all grown up now. I lucked out neither were colicy babies, and I had to wake them to feed them at night, they got up in the morning when I got up and went to sleep at night when I went to bed, not at all typical from what I hear. |
