When it first came out at the theatre I heard it was good...
Now that it's out on DVD everyone tells me it sucked! Sorry for your bad movie experience Shorty! Right now my favorite movies is "The Sweetest Thing" with Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate and Selma Blair. It's absofuckinglutely hysterical!

Loved it. Saw it in the theatre and was very impressed. Kicked the shit out of "The 6th Sense".

The problems were these:
The director shouldn't have tried to inject comedy The acting was not great The aliens did not get enough screen time and they were not mean enough The director implied complete pre-destination and alluded to the futility of free-will SUPERJOINT RITUAL - http://www.superjointritual.com

"Daddy there's a monster in my room, can I have a glass of water?" That cracked me up. All Rights Reserved. |

By the way, I actually liked the movie for what it was, but I did not like the pre-destination aspect of the movie, as it eliminated the possibility of free-will. SUPERJOINT RITUAL - http://www.superjointritual.com

yeah...the whole "there are no coincidences" was weak and unnecessary
the aliens! psh! they have the technology to fly their funky asses to earth to take us over..but they can't get through wood? and water kills them?!?! and they are defeated in ONE DAY! c'mon! that's lame! it felt as though mel (I don't even know what his movie name was) and family (actually...I don't recall anyone's name in the flick) were the only people in the whole world! besides them there was the lady cop...the chopped in half wife, the drugstore clerk, and the Indian dude...(m.knight?)no others in the movie! That movie had so much wasted potential bummer! thanx everyone for your opinions "not a fan" yeah...ok

You guys are frigign high on crack..there aint a damn thing wrong with the movie..what you dont see etc is what its all about etc..faith etc..when they talked about a dead bird hitting something invisible and falling from the sky..WTF yikes! They still up there watchin! And just becaue the aliens have secreting weapons etc does not mean that they cant be vulnerable. Yes the water thing is kind of funny but wtf, they're aliens. Maybe some would be weakened by the smell of fresh baked cookies , who knows?Signs was a very very good movie in Shamalyans catalogue..it is so him. Be glad. "Climb in my fur."

It was perfect how he left you wanting to see more of this and more of that and wondering about this and about that etc...I like his style and so should you "Climb in my fur."

I thought Joaquin Phoenix rocked in this movie. He had the greatest lines and delivered them with the perfect comedic timing.
"I guess the nerds were right." One of my favorite scenes is Mel Gibson's character walkin in and finding all three of them with foil hats on. Y'all on here are fuckin HIGH! This movie rocked. I saw it in the theater last summer and thought it was great...just bought the DVD and liked it just as much as the 1st time I saw it.
It reminded me of the old Twilight Zone shows. I don't think it was meant to be this high tech/Independence Day type of UFO flick...just an old fashion scare flick. Also I liked the whole "no conciquences" angle...it was something to think about. I don't think it was meant be taken as "this is how the world works", only what if it did work that way...kinda interesting. Pheonix, the little girl and Mel, I thought did GREAT jobs. Anyone who hasn't seen it...don't listen to these crackheads!

I just saw it saturday night...I was very disappointed it stunk! This movie is different, made by the genius of M. Night Shyamalan, an Indian guy, who also created 'Sixth Sense' and 'Unbreakable'. This film is not exactly a excitable film, but it is meant 2 be a tale of terror. I mean i was really scared when i saw it, not exactly shock-horror, but when u c the alien's and what their agendas are, it does feel gruesome and disturbin. I really liked the element of fate, like there was a good reason y Mel Gibsons wife died, 2 save them. Sam 8) Prince 2010 Good Luck for Future & Tour

EXACTLY! That's what bothered me, too. Here are these highly intelligent beings who can travel across the universe, turn their spacecraft invisible - yet they can't bash through some weak boards nailed up, and they turn around and run scared because of WATER!? If they're so intelligent, you think they would've known better than to come land on a planet that is COVERED IN WATER, WHERE WATER FALLS FROM THE SKY *ALL THE TIME* and not bring along any sort of protective gear or protection of any sort. If you were in an army that was going to invade and take over some country, and your commanding officer told you "Oh, by they way, this country is covered in an acid that can kill you, the people there have unlimited access to the acid that they can throw at you, plus this acid falls from the sky on a regular basis there. You won't have any means of protection from the acid, however..but I think we have a great chance of taking over anyway! LET'S GO!" would you do it???! LAME I didn't dislike this movie and I did like Joeohsoidquinorhoweveryouspellit Phoenix a *lot*, he did a really great job..but I agree with you - I feel this movie had wasted potential and the plot had a few too many weak points.
