There's only one Batman, Michael Keaton. The same goes for Catwoman, only Michelle could be the one.

Keaton was a good as Bruce Wayne, so-so as Batman. Michelle was awesome as Catwoman. The movie would have been better without the Penguin or Max Schreck.

I like the casting of Anne Hathaway.

"girl-next-door" Anne Hathaway? hmm

She's very pretty (and I love her as an actress).. but I see/think of her, and I think 'girl'

not 'curvy, sexy woman'

She must have wowed them in auditions...

I hope it's good. cool

Oh no, here we go again...... lol

It depends on the type of Batman you want to see on the big screen. I´m a huge fan of the Batman stories by writer Dennis O´Neill and the artist Neal Adams. Neal Adams is responsible for resurrecting Batman in the 1970s and giving him a much darker edge, plus they moved the Batcave into Gotham City by giving Bruce Wayne the penthouse with the Batcave in that same building, and Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale are doing a great job by keeping their version true to the Neal Adams interpretation of Batman.

Adams was behind classic Batman stories such as "The Lazarus Pit" with Ras Al Ghul and his daughter Talia Al Ghul, especially Batman Begins was a real treat for hardcore Batman fans. I can´t wait to see one of the Ghuls to come back again, whether it´s Ras or Talia, who became Bruce Wayne´s fiancee.

Michael Caine and Morgan Fox really give their best and are the perfect actors to play Alfred Pennyworth and Lucius Fox, even though Mr.Paine doesn´t even remotely look like Alfred in the comic books.

The darker and much more brutal Joker stories of the last two decades were brilliantly used as a foundation for The Dark Knight, and I bet the whole team put a lot of effort and preparation into that.

You may find Tim Burton´s version better and Michael Keaton more convincing and I really respect that but that just goes to show that you are either not familiar with the two Batman eras I mentioned or you just judge those movies solemnly as movies, not necessarily interpretations or adaptations of your favorite comic book hero.

I wonder what Bob Kane, the creator of Batman would´ve said if he were still alive. He liked Burton´s version with Michael Keaton but he came from a different era, when his own creature was much more camp.

Those who love camp and the earlier Batman up until the late 1960 including that TV series love Burton´s Batman.

Those who grew up with Neal Adam´s Batman and the Batman of the dark, post-1990s Batman love what Nolan and Bale are doing. wink

I hated Tim Burton's Batman movies. But I'm loving Nolan's. He's got an amazing vision for the whole series. I think Anne Hathaway is a great actress at times (mostly when she's not in a romantic comedy or romantic drama), and if she's not actually in costume, I feel much better about her casting.

And Tom Hardy...well, I could stare at his lips till the cows come home. He'll do fine. Just fine.

I heart Batman! I don't really care who plays who or who directs what because I just love Batman. My favorite villians have always been Two-Face and Harley Quinn (love her). Anne Hathaway...that should be interesting.

LadyLuvSexxy

whofarted this timeline confuses me to death. I'm not 100% on my DC game because I wavered off from comics for a long time after I became a Senior in high school. So in my head, it's like they're screwing with the timeline. I'm not even interested in the villains for this new movie right now. What concerns me is how Catwoman is even in the picture if this is part of the "beginnings" of Batman so to speak.

ohgoon Pay no attention to me. I'm just one of those people who is trying to be chronological with all the Batman movies from 1989 to the present. It just seems weird to me, even though I'm slightly interesed to see her play this part. I know there are several Catwomen in the DC universe to begin with.

For me, Adam West is the one and only Batman! smile Seriously, I always thought they should've picked an unknown for the first Batman movie like they did with James Bond in Dr. No.

There have been several different origins for all these comic heroes/villains and Catwoman started this way in just about all of them.

Part time cat burglar/prostitute if I remember correctly.

As fot the casting of Anne Hathaway...I was pissed when I heard Heath Ledger was playing the Joker (the guy from 10 Things I hate About You? ARRGH!) but as we all know, that turned out to be fucking phenomenal!

I shall reserve judgment.

Michael Keaton was good enough, but he always seemed like a bizarre choice to me. On the other hand, I thought George Clooney should have been good, and he was by far the worst.
