@ this thread. Lawd NeNe was on the rise last night. Somehow I feel she was over-exaggerating to be the main housewives viewers focus on this season, but then again, how can one not? She makes herself known without a problem. 
I was thinking the same thing- it's hella intentional and they have positioned her big behind in front of everyone in all the montages.. And what is wrong with her skin this season- she looks like she's been doing facials with a brillo pad-

I'm just sayin' a real "lady" wouldn't have to gossip. But if we're talking about class, yes Phaedra is pretty much a cookie cut lady. I'm just saying that she seems to be lookin' her nose down at everyone else. I don't think she's bad looking, just...a bit much. I've seen her without all that crap on, and she looks great actually.

Phaedra was chill tonight. I'm still not feelin' that eye makeup, but I can easily look over it. She got some tig ol' bitties!!
I was shocked to see how NeNe and Dwight ended up chatting and "making up". That stony look on his face made me think otherwise, though. Like he was sorry, but just wanted to get it over with before NeNe let loose. But I have to say I'm proud of her for not starting round two.
The model (I can't remember her name and I'm too lazy to look it up...
Honestly, I think they need two hours of this show.

Clearly, this is a very important episode to me since it deals with crime and the black community. As an attorney, I have spent my career defending black men. Whether it's a misdemeanor marijuana charge or a felony racketeering charge, it's unfortunate all the same. However, as Malcolm X so eloquently put it: "Stumbling is not falling." Yes, my husband is a convicted non-violent offender, but I did not marry him because of his past, I married him because I love him. I married him because I'm a Christian, and I know that your past does not dictate your future. Be you a Christian, ordinary citizen, or just identify yourself as an American -- this country and the justice system, however flawed it may be, was built on the power of redemption. Charles Dutton was a convicted violent offender before he was the beloved actor, playwright, and director we know him as now. Martha Stewart, Michael Vick, and even Don King are convicted felons who served time and still make a difference. Prison didn't stop Malcolm X, it enlightened him and gave him the perseverance to fight for others. It is because of the difference people like Malcolm X made that I decided to become an attorney, to fight to make the idea of redemption more of a reality than the statistical likelihood of recidivism. And speaking of statistics, we all know that headlines can be deceiving. We must be wise and look beyond words and labels for truth, especially when it relates to African-American men and the justice system. If we believe statistics, we would believe that 1 in 3 African-American boys and 1 in 17 African-American girls born in 2001 are at a risk of imprisonment during their lifetime. Indeed, African-American men are disproportionately represented in the criminal justice system. The percentage of African-American men in prison is nearly 3 times that of Hispanic men and nearly 7 times that of white men. Despite the fact that African-American men represent only 14% of the population in the U.S., they represent over 40% of the prison population (this figure does not include the number on parole or probation). While I am not glorifying crime or making excuses for my husband or for anyone else, this is the world we live in. Just as social status, race, nor education can indicate a person's character, neither can having a clean criminal history. I am confident in the depths of my husband's character as I have known him since I was in college. I trust, love, and believe in him. He is a blessing, and each day I am filled with an even stronger sense of gratitude for him. The gossiping about my husband's past fills me with great sorrow. How unfortunate that in this era of hope and change in America, during the term of our first African-American President, instead of being inspired to go out and make a difference, so many of us are still suffering from the "crabs-in-a-barrel syndrome" debasing instead of supporting one another. With so much behind us to celebrate and so much more ahead of us to accomplish, people who are still keen on hating should really be ashamed of themselves! Phaedra | |

Last week they were suddenly the best friends in the world on the premiere episode, but they started fighting again? Nene's blog had me like, "huh..? wha....?" You know what? Nene has figured out that this thing is a game, and while I do think that she's a screeching moose in stilletoes, I also think that she stirs the pot to keep that $3,333 episodal check coming in and keep us glued to the tv screen

NeNe LeakesDwight and Fake'draNeNe gives her side of the Dwight drama and her impression of Phaedra.We're back with all the food eating, wine drinking, smack talking drama that only theHousewives of Atlanta can give. I'll be a "lady" and start with myself first! Seeing me and Gregg talk in the kitchen made me sad all over again. Sometimes when you're in certain a situation you don't always see clearly, but I can clearly see Greg still wasn't giving me the full truth. I do believe that there should be no secrets in a relationship. Kim told me that Dwight said he had loaned Gregg $10,000. I knew that number was inflated, because if Dwight had that kind of money, he would have gotten his nose reconstructed because, "WHO WOULDNT WANNA BREATHE?" Hahaha LOL! I don't even remember saying that, but I obviouly did! So I head over to Sheree's house to show her the Life and Style article, but what you guys didn't see was me and Sheree cracking up laughing. Sheree says Kim is a media whore. Stop it girl! You can't get this anywhere but on this show. I love how these girls cut and stab each other then do the whole pretend friend thing. Kandi saying she's doing the whole celibacy thing but can have oral sex. Well what's the purpose of celibacy? Kim telling Kandi that she's coming to my house. I gotta agree with Kandi on this one. If you've been "strangled," as she called it, why would you put yourself in even more danger by coming to my house where I could do anything to you behind closed doors? Well you guys can try and figure it out, but my guess would be that Kim thinks she can say whatever she wants whenever she wants, but when I decide to challenge her opinions she immediately becomes "THE VICTIM" and I become "THE BULLY." At least that's what she wants the viewers to believe. There's more there than you're getting! The shoe event. I knew Dwight would be there and my intention was to avoid him. As a married woman, I was thinking everything at this point. I've never done anything to Dwight, and if I did, I didn't know it. So when he approached with the "I don't get a hug" BS, I somehow gave up my power, which I vowed to never do again. He showed me how low down and dirty of a friend he was, and I don't want to be around people that would even take me there. Hopefully I can stay true to this.
Well I saved Phaedra for last. "MISS FAKE'DRA" I like to call her in this episode. Boy did she and Dwight suck all the air out the room with the BS! "The flute," talking about the glass she and Dwight were drinking out of as if we can't see that. Dwight saying to her, "Be careful, you don't wanna mess up those minx toes." Which by the way is played! I thought the newest thing was the gel nails or your natural nails with polish. Oh they talked designers and jewelry. Girl, didn't you watch the show before joining? We've already had the fake bs, superficial materialistic self centered stuff done on the show before, and it didnt go over well with the viewers. A smart business woman would have come with a strategic game plan in place. I guess years of college couldn't teach that, because that's common sense. Fake'dra saying that she's known me since childhood. Well I wonder why I didn't know her. It's true we're from the same home town and even attended the same high school, but as a child, I never played jump rope, hop scotch, red light green light, kick ball, or hand ball with her. I was a freshman in college and she was a freshman in high school. I don't know what neighborhood she grew up in or who her family is. In fact, I just met her mother the same time the rest of the girls met her, which was just a few months ago. Oh don't you dare forget she said I wasn't "very lady like," but I was the first person she wanted to hug when she walked in the shoe event. Well Fake'dra if you like it, I love it! So let me get this straight:
1) She's known Apollo (or whatever his real name is) since college. 2) This college student decided that stealing cars, writing bad checks, having multiple aliases and laundering money was better than going to college while Phaedra pursued a law degree. 3) Apollo is friends with the girly men that Sheree hangs out with 4) Apollo has been in prison for 6 plus years and when he got out he was still cool with all those girly men.
And we're suppose to believe he's in the same category as Martha Stewart and Malcom X? Um....when did martha steal cars and when did malcom mooch off his wife?
She mighty stupid for bringing up Vick and King...one killed and tortured dogs and the other was a gangster who made millions off of hustling young boxers. Shit, Tyson is a felon and even he can't stand King.
Phaedra is on FAIL overload and I would not be surprised if she and her jail house hubby divorce after 5 years and she suddenly becomes **cough** ill. | |

Sorry, but I think Sheree is an idiot. Her first 2 seasons are painful to watch...at least Nene doesn't seem to take herself seriously and is apparently running game on all of us with this cariacature she's created and is laughing at herself with us all the way to the bank. Sheree was actually deluded that she was a fashion industry power figure. Remember when organizing one of her social events she actually thought that Mercedes Benz USA should send a Maybach for her to be driven in because they should be happy to be associated with her and her "line"?

Today marks two "firsts" for me: my first season on the show and my first blog. Just as an obituary can't fully capture the essence of one's life, neither can 12 minutes of a 46 minuteepisode show who I am. But, in an effort to give you more insight on who Phaedra is, I will tell you that I am most proud of being a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. After watching Episode 1, three subjects immediately came to mind: dispute resolution, disappointment, and friendship. In life, everyone will face these three matters, however, the true measure of one's character will depend on how you address the disappointment and how you work towards effective dispute resolution. Ultimately, how you manage disappointment and disputes will determine the level and types of friendships you are able to attract and maintain. This experience has made me realize that some of the most important lessons that I will learn in life surround friendship. In this episode, Dwight expresses to me his disappointment with Sheree. In an effort to support and be empathetic, I made a sweeping judgement about Sheree. I added my two cents because I wanted to be a good friend and give him the support he needed. I didn't really know Sheree, but I do know that there are two sides to every story. After seeing the episode, I called Sheree and discussed it with her, because now we are friends, and as friends, I wanted her to hear my frame of thought at that time and most importantly I didn't want to offend her. My Mother always taught me that, "If your brother does something wrong, go, confront him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back yourbrother." Matt. 18:15 As the show continues, NeNe expresses her disappointment with Dwight by lashing out at him in public. All of the conflict looms around things that others allegedly said or things they supposedly did or did not do. As an attorney, often my job is to effectively resolve disputes. Unfortunately, disputes usually stem from someone's disappointment. When disappointment escalates to anger that's usually when my phone rings. Sadly, friendship often involves disappointment, hurt, and anger. While it's not usually intentional, it happens. Friends are human and humans often make mistakes. We fail to do things, not because we don't care, but because we forget or just don't realize how important something is to our friend. However, the underlying questions have to be: Do friends forgive and forget? Do friends give eachother the opportunity to be heard prior to discussing it with others? Can friendships survive disappointments? My answer to all of these questions is YES! This show is about a group of diverse women attempting to navigate the bounds of friendship which can resemble a mismatched jigsaw puzzle. However, as adults we have to communicate and leave the screaming to our children. I hope this season I am able to be a part of the solution and not the problem…but we will see. Xoxo, Phaedra

I talk shit about Phaedra and will keep on talking shit about her but I have to say....I like that she doesn't act a fool in public. I know it's early but I'm sure she will keep it classy for the most part. Right? | |

One could only hope
The way I see it is that she would be the one with the most to lose if she starts acting crazy, because it will reflect on her business and professional standing. The other ladies (except Kandi and the model who actually are independently rich) all depend on men or fly by night get rich quick gimmicks. They need every 15 seconds of publicity good or bad to keep themselves relevant and marketable in some form or other.
I am curious, btw, where Sheree got the money to stage her fashion show during Mercedes Benz fashion week in New York . Maybe it was settlement money she got from her divorce | |

I think Phaedra will be all talk for now. She's with child and I doubt she's going to allow herself to lose her marbles. She doesn't really have time for drama anyway. Who invited her anyway? She ain't even a housewife yet.
I forgot to mention that I actually liked Kandi's ballad. I just don't like it when she does that fast "poppy" stuff. It just seems like her voice is ill-equipped for that. But it's her career, and she does have talent.
And before I go, I have one confession to make.
