I saw it on the org when I was sneaking earlier and I saw this thread. So I clicked on the weather on my dashboard (it's a Mac thing) and saw the accuweather.com posting in red.

If I hadn't seen it here, I wouldn't have known until I got home and turned on the TV.

While a push of cooler air has ended the flooding and damaging thunderstorm threat over much of the mid-Atlantic and Southeast for now and will sweep into New England later tonight, more trouble lies ahead late in the week from the tropics.

The threat was diminishing as of the mid-afternoon over New Jersey, the Delmarva and the Delaware Valley from west to east.

Around New York City, Burlington, Vt. and the Hudson Valley, the risk of dangerous storms and flooding downpours will linger into part of the evening rush hour.

In Hartford and Boston as well as Providence, R.I., the threat will not diminish until later this evening.

This is totally true, and I don't think that many folk on this forum know better than Genesia that when you put something out there you gotta be able to take the heat if it doesn't come off as funny or whatever. So she was a bitch to post that and got called out on it. OK.

My parents told me a week later that the tenant below me told them that an electrical transformer on my block had caught on fire during the tornado. I never knew. I never see any of the other tenants in my building since I'm only home between 11pm and 9am. They must think I'm some kind of urban legend.
