You know it's a damn shame when we have to be relieved to see a woman of color on tv who's not actin' a damn fool.

Well I hope that gravy train of hers lasts for a long time, because if stuff dries up after the Housewives schtick is over, she will remember how good he was to her and realize she was a plum fool for letting him go. All that himming and hawing she did about how well he's taken care of her through the years and how she'll do the same for her husband? I guess she meant until she found someone younger and more mus-ca-ler to take his place.

I know right. Stacy has a lot of class and style, and I do like that she tells it like it is...but only when she feels it's necessary to tell it like it is. She recognizes that everything that goes through her mind, she doesn't necessarily have to share with others and I love that about her. And her husband cracks me up because he don't give a damn about how people feel about him or his opinions. I love to see the scenes with him and Tareq because Stacy's husband be shutting him down. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

My take on the DC HW's:
Stacie: Love her! She is fabulous and doin the damn thang. I like her personality a lot. Her hubby is cool 2. I really wish her luck in finding out more about her biological family. It must suck to be adopted(unless your bio family was abusive or something).....the whole "not knowing" your roots would just drive me crazy.
Mary: Boring! and her whole meely-mouthed-scared-to-say-anything to folks urks the shit outta me!
Cat: OMG!! This woman makes me go from wanting to punch her in the mouth to crackin the hell up at some of the shit that she blurts out.....still on the fence about her...
Lynda: a TRUE shit-starter she annoys me.
Machaele: yes, she and her husband are joined at the hip, but I don't see anything wrong with it. They are shady as hell tho. I'm glad the truth came out about how they DID sneak their asses into that Black Caucus Dinner. I like how she tries to be positive, but I don't know if that's just dingyness or her true personality.

I find her to be full of sh*t and don't like her at all. If the other girls don't roll with her, then she gets pissed off All mouth, no action. Did you see how she looked when Jacqueline and Teresa let Danielle hug them, although I doubt, the drama ends there, because they really don't like Danielle?
As far as teh DC housewives, I like Stacie. She is the most calm of them all, but Mary is cool too. Lynda is a trip, and I like how she doesn't hold back how she feels about anything; she doesn't seem to be a phony and speaks her mind. Michaele, well, I don't know, she seems like she likes the spotlight and wants to be in with the movers and shakers of DC, but hey, we'll see where it goes from there.
Now Cat, I don't like her. something about her that seems very wishy, washy and I think it will come out before the season ends. I like how Michaele's asst basically told her she was being b*tchy, because she seems to act that way all the time, and carries a smug attitude, like she's never happy and has to be rude 24/7 .

Not necessarily. Alot of kids grow up appreciating that they were claimed and nurtured by a loving family regardless of not having blood ties.
Stacy has been very upfront that she adores her "adoptive" family, and was blessed to grow up with the privileges she did as a result of their love and care. Their parenting is what got her to the steps of Harvard. She mentioned that the search for her birth parents began when she was pregnant, and had to research her medical history. Once she contacted her mom and got 1/2 done, what initially began as a quest to fill out the second half of her medical gaps became something deeper that tugged at her heart once she found out he was from another continent, and then birth moms was hell bent on making sure he didn't know about her. Then homegirl was on a mission [Edited 9/10/10 9:39am]

Exactly. And I loved how last night when Cat approached Michalela's assistant again saying how she didn't like how she told her she was bitchy the last time they saw each other, the assistant basically brushed her off like "umm I really don't give a fuck how you feel" attitude and told Cat that she needed to stop taking her so seriously ...I think what she really meant was that, the situation is behind them now, yeah she told her she was bitchy, but why are you still talking about it?
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Exactly. Cat is highly critical, miserable and complaining about every, damn thing. She never seems satisfied with anything, from not liking the wine at Michaela's winery, the food at Stacy's Aunt's house, yada, yada, yada. I swear her hubby needs to get his bedroom swagger right, so for once Cat can get through one episode without acting like a beeyotch who wakes up angry every morning, like her hubby misses the right spot night after night. She doesn't care who when or why she offends anyone. Once I saw that she even tries to pull same ish with her husband (ep. 3 I think), I was like , um so you really are this assanine all the time???
Why people want to make excuses for her rude and self-centered behavior is beyond me. There was nothing wrong with what Michelle's assistant said, she pointed out something that was entirely true, and in light of how she was behaving as a guest at someone's second home, entirely warranted imo. Honestly, if I ever had the displeasure of entertaining a woman like this, I would gladly escort her out of my midst via a twisted arm behind her back with a cab waitng for her on the curb.

Will do! He was all up under SJP horse looking arse. Damn, that bitch ain't cute in person.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I agree. She come's off extremely sarcastic, overly-critical, and miserable. She comes off way too snarky, and complains around the other housewives too much. I was glad when Michaela's asst told her she was b*tchy, because she is. Funny thing is, she doesn't seem to think anything is wrong with her behavior towards the other housewives or people period.
She never seems happy, and takes issue with everyone around her. Stacy should have shown her Cat's ass the door immediately, the way she acted at Stacy's Aunt's house. She carries way too much negativity and attitude around, and it's funny how she doesn't seem to "get" why people respond to her the way they do.
You could tell that when the other housewives gives her back what she puts out, she gets insecure about it, and doesn't seem to have any inkling that she's just a nasty-ass, miserable being. A woman with that kind of attitude is not a happy woman if she has to be that nasty, and overly-critical of everyone and everything, 24/7 It's not cute. [Edited 9/13/10 19:35pm]

Danielle is working overtime trying to get her reality spin-off picked up, and apparently is going behind all of her former Jersey cast mates backs to make frends with people they don't get along with, including new Jersey cast member Melissa Gorga, Teresa's arch nemesis sister in-law.This week she even managed to get in a little dig at Naomi Campbell On top of it all she envisions herself as the Susan Lucci of reality tv. This damn woman is a nut
Danielle Staub talks to Access Hollywood on September 8, 2010Access HollywoodAccess Hollywood
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Danielle Staub has left her Bravo series, but she told Access Hollywood that reality TV fans haven't seen the last of her - or her "Susan Lucci" ways! According to Danielle, she is currently entertaining multiple offers about doing her own reality series, and could even end up back in familiar TV territory. "I don't know if I'm done with Bravo, but I'm off the 'Housewives,'" she told Access on Wednesday. "There have been several large networks who have been courting me and shopping me, production companies as well." Danielle said that her next reality venture will delve deeper into her family and personal life. "It's about me, and my daughters, and my real life and my friends that surround my life... fashion shows for Christine, music for Jillian, music for myself," Danielle explained. "Really me... I think people will be surprised who my group of friends are." As for which network she might go with, the "Real Close" singer will follow the cash. "I will probably take the best offer. I have to be fair to me and to my children," she added. Danielle also told Access that she's grown into being one of reality TV's most notorious villains - just like Pine Valley's most talked about colorful character, Erica Kane - something she's enjoying. "[Susan Lucci was] OK with being vilified on daytime television, and if she can be OK with that, knowing she's this sweet, beautiful little woman... She taught me to be OK with myself, without her even knowing it," Danielle said of the soap star. "So, if I need to be vilified, I am the Susan Lucci of reality television."
NJ Housewives’ Danielle... Common”
Naomi appeared on Thursday’s episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live during which she called Danielle’s archenemy, Teresa Giudice, a “role model.” In a new interview with RadarOnline, Danielle makes it clear she is not pleased with Naomi’s comments. “Isn’t that somebody that’s physically attacked and abused other, let’s see…women? Yeah, so her and Teresa do have a lot in common,” Danielle told Radar referencing Naomi’s numerous violent outbursts, which includes throwing a cell phone at her maid in 2007, and assaulting two police officers in London’s Heathrow airport just a year later. Danielle had a lot more to say. “I didn’t mess with her family! I stated the truth,” Danielle said. “Naomi, pay attention, please! I’m going to tell you the same thing I told Teresa. Pay attention before you make comments in stupidity.” Danielle also defends her comments towards Teresa. “I did not comment on her family… I stated two facts this season: she is in foreclosure and… according to her sister-in-law, who was in direct contact with me along with her brother, [she] never said congratulations or acknowledged the birth of her nephew,” Danielle said referring to Teresa’s sister-in-law Melissa Gorga. As for Naomi and Teresa, Danielle believes “they get each other because they both got bad, bad, bad tempers” adding that the two violent prone ladies “should definitely hang out.” Seems like Danielle is really working overtime in the press, doing whatever it takes in hopes of getting her spin-off show picked up by a network.

These are real high society mavens in Dallas. Katherine Lalonde is the chairwoman of the Cattle Baron's Ball which is the Cancer Society's largest fundraiser. If you watched the TV show Dallas, each year they had an episode about the family attending the CBB and some major drama always went down at the ball. Here's the story about what happened last year. This woulda been great drama for a Housewives ep.
What went wrong at the rain-drenched "Disaster in the Pasture," otherwise known as Saturday night's Cattle Baron's Ball? Pretty much everything: inoperable bathrooms, drenched food and a few enterprising locals who did more harm than good. Always a draw for celebrities, politicians as well as the biggest names in Dallas society, the Cattle Baron's Ball is the largest fundraiser for the American Cancer Society .
"When we first saw limousines getting stuck, that's when it turned into a nightmare," said Keith Burris, chief operating officer of Jack Boles Services, the company in charge of valet parking. "Nobody anticipated it was going to rain like that. The only backup plan [for parking] anyone told us about was that they had seven miles of paved road. With 1,000 cars and 20 feet per car, you're talking about using just under four miles of road with no place to turn them around."
Once the enormity of the situation had quite literally sunk in, half the party guests had already arrived and the other half were lined up trying to valet park at the Wynne family's Star Brand Ranch in Kaufman County, also the site of the first Cattle Baron's Ball in 1974. "The contingency plan was always to hold the party underneath the tents," said Cattle Baron's Ball chairwoman Katherine Wynne LaLonde. "We monitored the weather all week. But nobody could have foreseen a monsoon and mud soup."
"The sheriff's office called me about 9 on Saturday night and said there's 500 to 1,000 cars stuck," said Al Luna, a volunteer firefighter who owns PAAC Towing in Kaufman. He showed up with his Bombardier Muskeg, which runs on tracks. "I normally use it to pull people's tractors out of the middle of fields," Luna said. He charged $125 per car. "It was getting crazy. I had one man give me $1,000 to pull him out. We'll see if his check clears."
As the rain continued to pour and overwhelmed valets and anxious guests tried to liberate cars, the atmosphere became desperate. "The sheriff's department put out the word for ranch hands with 4x4s to help people get out," said Burris. "They were kids in 4x4s that were mostly trying to jerk them out with nylon straps," Luna said. "One man told me he paid a guy $400 and he couldn't even move him. The people at the ranch ran them off at about 2 in the morning."
Late Monday afternoon, LaLonde said Cattle Baron's and American Cancer Society officials were conferring with insurers about how to reimburse people for towing expenses. This is hardly the first Cattle Baron's Ball to be plagued by bad weather. At the 1981 ball at Southfork Ranch, heavy rains knocked out all power and Johnny Cash had to be coerced to perform an acoustic set. The 1988 ball was moved to the Automobile Building at Fair Park because of rain, and the 1998 ball had to abandon Ross Perot Jr .'s Circle T Ranch for the same reason. In 1991, heavy rains had people hiding under their tables as lightning danced around the metal stage and George Strait declined to leave his tour bus, where he was entertaining Larry Hagman .
"There used to be a rain location for Cattle Baron's," LaLonde said, "but that was in the days when the ball was 500 to 800 people. We now have anywhere from 3,200 to 4,000 people. You have this minicity that has been built to accommodate 4,000 people, and it's physically impossible to move that in a day."
With the drizzle light early in the evening, valets directed arriving guests to the middle of a big pasture adjacent to the ball site. But when the rain began to fall hard about 7:30 p.m., the parkers moved their operation onto the ranch's main road. "Once we did that, we went from unloading 20 to 24 cars at a time to just four or five at a time," Burris said. But those already parked began to sink.
"Had I been Atlas and been able to lift the cars up myself and put them on the road, I would have stayed there all night and done that," LaLonde said. "We've made $40 million for cancer research in 36 years, and you can only do that by throwing an interesting party." [Edited 9/15/10 10:19am]

^ All those luxury cars stuck in some mud. How could the meteoroligist get it wrong and not know how heavy the rainfall would be? I could just see people waiting in line (in the rain) for the valet to come.
