I don't wear them every day though...and i've never had a strain or injury so far....
Didn't we have the same reports from Uggs? and wearing high heels all the time shortens your calf muscles or something - and give you bunions??

I love wearing thongs - especially to the beach and..... nothing looks good with shorts except thongs

Yeah, I have a hard time with them, too. I have one pair that I wear when I go for a pedicure. (They're really the only kind of shoes that won't screw up a fresh polish.) I only wear them as houseshoes. The current pair from NY & Company are squeaky, and I don't like that, so they will not be seen out of doors. I can't imagine walking in flip flops outdoors for hours at a time. My feet need support.

only place i wear them is in the shower in the gym.
cannot bear them for any length of time. they can look nice on women's feet but for some reason i hate to see men wear them.

That's the ONLY place they should be worn... Okay, or after a pedi or in a public shower. Not as a fashion choice. You could get cute sandals or flats for shorts.
They've been called flip-flops or thongs. I think "flip-flop" comes from that horrible sound they make wen people walk.
