I work in a pretty creative (read "tolerant") industry, but I don't think, no matter how alternative you are, that flipflops and jeans are appropriate for work - yes I mean YOU PETER!!!!?!?!?!?!

I used to see women in the south wearing them all the time, and prayed that trend wouldn't hit New York. Unfortunately it has. shake I used to feel the same way about flat sandals, and germs from the street getting on the feet. You could see the dirt under some women's feet wearing flip-flops, just nasty. Not to mention the spit, dog-crap that some lazy ass New Yorkers doh't pick up, gum, and other vile their feet are picking up wearing those thingys in the street.

You're seriously kidding yourselves if you think you're not picking up germs wearing any of those.

Guess all those terrified of germs are wearing full shoes all year round...and I would suppose gloves too because we all know that the most germs are found on people's hands.

If you just don't like the look, cool, that's one thing...but to say they are any worse than any other type of shoe that exposes the foot is just silly.
