A motor racing executive died reportedly after an extreme S&M session with an infamous Belgian dominatrix and her assistant.

He was identified Friday as Robin Mortimer, the 58-year-old founder of RPM Motorsport, a British touring car team. He was in Belgium for this weekend's International GT Open.

Mistress Lucrezia, 46, and Mistress Juno, 38, were arrested at their villa near Brecht, Belgium, and charged with assault and battery following the death on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities in Antwerp said he may have died after being given nitrous oxide; also known as laughing gas and used as an anesthetic to prolong sadistic sex sessions.

On her website Mistress Lucrezia warns she offers "bondage, humiliation, torture, education and cross-dressing" with sessions lasting between one hour and three days. She is said to be a regular guest of the British S&M scene.

Het Nieuwsblad newspaper reported that Mortimer's family reacted with shock when they were told of the apparent circumstances of his death.

An earlier statement from the family read: "It is understood that Robin died of natural causes in his sleep at a hotel in Belgium while traveling with his team en route to Spa Francorchamps.

"Alex Mortimer, Robin’s British GT Championship-winning son, hopes to compete in the International GT Open taking place at Spa this weekend, June 26-27, alongside Peter Bamford, in honor of his father.

"Robin’s wife Bridget, fondly known as Biddy, and Alex are grateful for the continued messages of condolence and support but respectfully request privacy at this difficult time."

Am I the only one that has a problem with the mistreeses being charged with assault and battery?

S&M is not illegal or immoral, and if European laws are anything like Canada's the services of an S&M mistress do not qualify as prostitution as there is no actual sex involved.

Unless there's proof the women deliberately caused him actual harm, I'm very uncomfortable with the fact they've been charged.

Nope, I agree.

I'm unsure of Belgian law (which most likely now falls under an E.U. legal construct anyway), but I know that within the UK at least, the law frowns heavily upon the S&m community/practices/practioners, with assault and battery charges sadly commonplace. God forbid you have 3 people involved.

If they didn't force it on him -unlikely, as even "force" scenarios have carefully agreed on parameters in d/s or s&m scenes -why should they be charged?

This smacks of the same anti-kink bias that shows up too often.

Because they're not allowed to possess NO. They're not allowed to have it and definitely not allowed to administer NO. It's against the law. Simple as that.

But the part that's complicating that is that it's highly likely the client requested and paid for that "service", and probably knew what the risks were.

If someone gets in the car with a drunk driver, knowing (s)he's drunk and knowing what the risk are and they get in a crash....the passenger ends up dying, do you think they should just let the driver get away with it because the passenger was aware of the risks? WTF!?

They broke the law and as a result of that someone's dead.

I'm not arguing that, but I am saying both that since it's likely this is a service he paid for that could complicate things legally and that it's unsettlingly often that the law cracks down on those in the S&M scene. It's not unreasonable to think they're being made an example of.

Exactly, even if in reality it is his own fault, they supplied him with a drug illegally that killed him.

This reminds me of that "100 Ways to Die" episode where one man gets suffocated in leather and dies of the same thing this guy apparently died of because he was too cooped up in that suit and he was laid there to die. The dominatrix had no clue, apparently, that the guy was allergic to the shit he was wearing. Then again he should've known that it was bad for him but he didn't care I guess.
