Nightmares!

I had a birthday cake and I was trying to light a candle for the cake and every time I would light it the candle would burn down quickly and burn my fingers. I kept getting new candles and each time it would melt away so quickly that I couldn't put it on the cake before it started to burn my fingers.

A co-worker of mine came over and showed me how to light it. She lit it and like a regular candle, it just burned slowly. As soon as she handed it to me though, the candle burned fast. This time I got the candle on the cake before it could burn my fingers but when I looked down at the cake as I was holding it, I saw that it was no longer a cake but a box of fireworks!
I panicked and looked around for a pool or water to throw it in but couldn't find any so I put the box down and ran and found some cups with water in them and so I grabbed a couple of these cups and I threw the water on the box of fireworks. Smoke rose from the box. The box was in the shape of a heart and, like a box of valentines candy and on the plastic film that covered the fireworks were roses. The backdrop against the roses was black.
I feared that the fireworks could still go off so I lifted the plastic and this part is going to be hard to explain but I hope you follow. As I was lifting the plastic off the box, I was transported to a bedroom. I was still in the one experience pulling back the plastic but in this other experience in the bedroom that action was being translated in this bedroom and now It's as if I'm watching a movie and so as the plastic is beign peeled away, I see these covers being peeled back on two beds that are in this bedroom.
Under the covers of the bed on the left was a man and under the covers of the bed on the right was a woman. They were both burned from the fireworks. I guess the best way to explain this is that they were inside that box and I didn't know it. But the experience of peeling the plastic off the box and the bedroom were different places, but the same thing.
Anyway, I was shocked and felt like I had a hand in hurting them since I put the candle on the cake and I went to help the man and he just put his hand out to push me away and said he didn't want my help and was just going to go off and die alone. The woman was dead in the bed and I was distraught because I didn't know this would happen.
So I'm standing there and I notice the woman is not dead and she is sunburned all over and she asks for my help but I don't know what to do to help her. Overall I felt responsible for this horrible accident and I felt helpless and horrified.
WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THIS!?! shocked lol

Oh, last night I dreamed that Obama dropped nuclear bombs on Afghanistan. I was saddened and I couldn't believe he did it.

Well, I won't laugh at last night's one.

You should keep a dream journal or something.

Psychological Meaning: Fire destroys but it also cleanses and purifies. It can illuminate but also cause pain. Its energy is a potent symbol of eternal life or eternal damnation. Fire is a powerful yet ambivalent dream symbol.

In dreams, it can signal a new beginning, spiritual illumination, sexual passion or disruptive emotions such as the flames of passion or envy. For example, to dream of a house burning down or a forest fire warns that you are consumed by passions. Consider whether your emotions are getting out of control and whether you need to calm the flames. Are you being a hothead? Or perhaps you have a ‘fiery’ temper? Be careful or your ‘burning’ passion may spark a ‘flaming’ argument!

Fire can also be a symbol of security. To dream of a cosy fire in the hearth shows that you are comfortable with your circumstances and at ease with your life. Freud said that fire is a symbol of the libido (the passions) and to dream of poking a fire represented arousing the sexual passion.

Mystical Meaning: The psychologist Carl Jung said that fire represents the process of psychological transformation. Just as the alchemists used fire to transform base metals into gold, so the symbol fire is the trigger for the inner transformation. It purges the decay of the past yet is also the giver of light and spiritual truth. It is the eternal flame in the temple of the soul. It is from the fire that the phoenix of hope rises.

Add fireworks to the mix...FIREWORKS : Fireworks usually symbolise huge and momentuous events in our minds. They can link to wild romance(fireworks in our mind) or great arguments.

QUESTIONS to help you make associations(pick the one that makes most sense to you)

- Did you witness a big argument yesterday?
- Are you worried that there maybe an argument at work or amongst friends?
- Is there some explosive romance taking pace right now?

To see fireworks in your dream can symbolize beauty, creativity, and imagination.

On the other hand, the fireworks in your dream can be viewed as you releasing stressful emotions and thoughts.

To see something burning, indicates that you are experiencing some intense emotions and/or passionate sexual feelings. There is some situation or issue that you can no longer avoid and ignore. Alternatively, it may suggests that you need to take time off for yourself and relax. Consider also how you may be feeling "burned out" or "burned up". To dream that you or someone is being burned alive, suggests that you are being consumed by your own ambition.

Maybe the dream about the nuclear bomb is linked to the burning one. hmmm

To see a bomb in your dream, indicates that you may be going through a potentially explosive and trying situation in your waking life. The bomb could represent repressed desires and unexpressed emotions that are likely to explode or burst if not dealt with soon. It could be something within yourself, such as the desire to explode with anger over an issue that's affecting you.

To dream that you are unable to disarm a bomb, suggests that your anger is out of control.

To dream of a bomb threat, suggests that you are experiencing some inner anger and/or pressures which are on the verge of exploding into violence. eek
