Money grubbing ItchBay. Wonder why the therapist was only focused on Gary. He seemed to ignore Gary's statement that it's "all about money" with her. It's nice that he was trying to devolpe Gary's people skills, but what was he trying to do with that witch. She married him thinking she would have the easy life. But gust what Itch....you have to work like everybody else.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

Wow!!! sad

The bitterness exhibited by Gary and the discord between him and Shannon is so strong and incredibly sad. They were mismatched on so many levels and you can see that they are clearly disillusioned with each other and possibly thought this marriage or relationship was going to bring relief to their already troubled lives. Gary is bitter for not be able to make the kind of living he wants and having been taken advantage of in the past, not to mention having a hard time getting away from his "Different Strokes" character. Shannon thought she was marrying up and she sees she married somewhat downward..no pun. She clearly resents having to work whle being Gary Coleman's woman and she throws up in his face that he has an issue with money when the whole time...her ass has an even bigger issue.

I hate when she says "how are the bills going to get paid"....damn bitch how were they being paid before you married ole shorty mac? TRY FLIN! disbelief

That stank ho didn't give a fuck about Gary Coleman in the first place and I'm sure she knew that he didn't have a whole bunch of money before they got married. She probably thought that by marrying Gary that was her ticket into the celebrity circles but Gary didn't like Hollywood nor most of the people in it. That's why he moved to Utah. Who moves to Utah unless their trying to get far away from something?

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Price is a greedy bitch. She's no longer his surviving spouse. She has no claim unless he named her as a beneficiary. As for the Advanced Health Care Directive.... too bad Gary did not change that unless he felt he trusted her enough.

It's going to be one messy situation.

You know what? Screw this crap about Gary's job was to love his wife and to get love from her.

Gary should have learned to loved himself first and foremost BEFORE even bothering to looking for a woman to love OR lust. His low self-esteem has always been his biggest weakness and sadly, it has never been fixed at all.

Gary Coleman's friend and former manager will bow out of fight over estate

at 13:48 on June 14, 2010, EDT.
By Brock Vergakis, The Associated Press

SALT LAKE CITY - Gary Coleman's friend and former manager will give up the fight to be appointed the special administrator of his estate, his attorney said Monday.

A hearing on Coleman's estate was scheduled later in the day in Provo.

Attorney Kent Alderman told The Associated Press that Dion Mial will no longer seek to be appointed special administrator of Coleman's estate because a more recent will has surfaced.

"We don't have any reason to dispute it, so we would leave it to the court to appoint someone else to undertake that responsibility," Alderman said. "Our goal has always been to try to fulfil Gary's wishes as we knew them."

Mial was named in Coleman's 1999 will and was informally appointed by a state court as the estate's special administrator. But that appointment was challenged by Coleman's ex-wife, Shannon Price.

She is named in a 2007 handwritten note by Coleman that's intended to amend any earlier wills and name Price as the sole heir. Monday's hearing is intended to settle that dispute.

On Friday, an attorney for Coleman's former girlfriend Anna Gray filed documents with the court saying she was named in a 2005 will.

Price and Gray each say they should be responsible for administering the estate of the "Diff'rent Strokes" star and deciding what happens to his remains. Coleman stated in both wills that he wanted to be cremated.

Price's attorneys contend she is the rightful heir to Coleman's estate because even though the two divorced in 2008, she was still his common law wife. Court documents say the couple continued to live together, shared bank accounts and presented themselves as husband and wife.

It wasn't publicly known the two had divorced until after Coleman died on May 28 after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

Price referred to Coleman as her husband when she called 911 on May 26, saying Coleman had fallen and was bleeding severely from the back of his head.

Coleman was still conscious when he was taken to a hospital in Provo but slipped into unconsciousness the next day and was placed on life support. It was Price — named in an advanced health care directive in 2006 before they had married — who ordered Coleman to be taken off of life support.

A court filing by Gray's attorney and one-time Coleman defence attorney Randy Kester said Gray has been informed that Price has been removing personal property from Coleman's home.

On June 10, the Fourth District Court ordered that no more of Coleman's property be removed or sold. The court also prohibited anyone from selling or distributing photographs of Coleman prior to or after his death.

Price appeared in a picture with Coleman on his death bed on the cover of a tabloid on June 8.

Coleman starred for eight seasons on the sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes," starting in 1978. The 10-year-old's "Whachu talkin' 'bout?" became a catch phrase in the show about two African-American brothers adopted by a wealthy white man.

PROVO, Utah - A judge on Monday ordered that Gary Coleman's remains be cremated no sooner than Wednesday afternoon, so Coleman's ex-girlfriend will have enough time to travel from Oregon to Utah to see his body.

Fourth District Judge James Taylor said he will appoint an independent attorney to oversee Coleman's estate and the cremation of his remains until a dispute between Coleman's ex-wife and his ex-girlfriend is settled.

The judge said he will name Provo attorney Robert Jeffs the special administrator of Coleman's estate. Jeffs wasn't notified of the ruling in advance and wasn't at the hearing. He did not immediately return a call to his office seeking comment Monday evening.

Coleman died May 28, but his cremation has been on hold because of legal wrangling over his assets.

Coleman's ex-wife, Shannon Price, and his former girlfriend and manager, Anna Gray, both contend they are the lawful administrators of his estate.

Grey is named in a 2005 will, and the judge delayed Coleman's cremation so Gray could travel to Utah from Portland, Oregon, and see his body before it is cremated.

Gray's attorney, Randy Kester, said Gray wanted to see Coleman one more time for sentimental reasons. He said Coleman and Gray knew each other for eight years and that she moved to Utah and lived with him briefly before he and Price became romantically involved in 2005 on the set of the comedy "Church Ball."

Price declined to comment Monday. She is named in a 2007 handwritten note by Coleman that's intended to amend any earlier wills. The note names Price as the sole heir.

Also Monday, one of Coleman's friends and former managers, Dion Mial, withdrew his petition to be named as the special administrator of Coleman's estate. Mial was named in a 1999 will by Coleman, but his attorney said the will that names Gray takes precedence because it's more recent.

Coleman stated in both wills that he wanted to be cremated.

Price and Gray each say they should be responsible for administering the estate of the "Diff'rent Strokes" star. Price's attorneys objected to the judge's decision to give Gray 48 hours to view Coleman one last time.

Price's attorneys contend she is the rightful heir to Coleman's estate because even though the two divorced in 2008, she was still his common-law wife. Court documents say the couple continued to live together, shared bank accounts and presented themselves as husband and wife.

It wasn't publicly known the two had divorced until after Coleman died after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

Price referred to Coleman as her husband when she called emergency services on May 26, saying he had fallen and was bleeding severely from the back of his head.

Coleman was still conscious when he was taken to a hospital in Provo but slipped into unconsciousness the next day and was placed on life support. It was Price who ordered Coleman to be taken off of life support. In 2006 — before they were married — Coleman signed documents giving Price legal authority to make medical decisions for him if he couldn't.

A court filing by Kester said Gray has been informed that Price has been removing personal property from Coleman's home.

On June 10, the Fourth District Court ordered that no more of Coleman's property be removed or sold. The court also prohibited any of the parties from selling or distributing photographs of Coleman before or after his death.

Price appeared in a picture with Coleman on his death bed on the cover of a tabloid June 8.

Coleman starred for eight seasons on the sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes," starting in 1978. The 10-year-old's "Whachu talkin' 'bout?" became a catch phrase in the show about two African-American brothers adopted by a wealthy white man.

Judge delays Gary Coleman's cremation to allow former manager to view body

Published: Monday, June 14, 2010 6:16 p.m. MDT

PROVO — Child actor Gary Coleman's cremation will have to wait another 48 hours, a 4th District Court judge ruled Monday afternoon.

Judge James Taylor said the cremation must wait two days so Anna Gray, a possible inheritor of Coleman's estate, has time to see the body. Taylor also ruled that an impartial third party will manage and guard Coleman's estate until a permanent executor is chosen in court.

The battle for control of Coleman's estate is between Shannon Price, Coleman's ex-wife, and Anna Gray, Coleman's former girlfriend, manager and business partner.

Gray filed a petition for the estate under a 2005 will that names her as executor. But Price's court filings argue she and Coleman shared a common-law marriage, that she had the power of attorney at the time of his death and that she's listed as Coleman's wife on his death certificate.

Price does not have a will to support her claim, but she did file a hand-written addendum dated 2007 and signed by Coleman, naming her the sole heir of the actor's estate.

Dion Mial, Coleman's friend and former manager, also filed a petition for control of Coleman's estate under a 1999 will. But Mial's attorney withdrew his claim at Monday's hearing after Gray's attorney produced a more recent will.

Story continues below
QuantcastQuantcast

In court Monday, Judge Taylor ordered that Robert L. Jeffs, president elect of the Utah State Bar, be named special administrator of Coleman's estate until the lawsuit between Gray and Price is settled and a permanent administrator can be named. Jeffs is to manage Coleman's estate and oversee the cremation of his remains, but not until Gray has had a chance to see them one more time.

Gray's attorney, Randy Kester, said Gray would be "absolutely giddy" at the judge's decision to delay cremation. The single mom will be coming from Oregon to see the body.

"She was very concerned his body would be disposed of before she could see his face again," Kester said. "She just wants to see him. … It's purely sentimental."

Taylor's decision to delay cremation met several objections by one of Price's attorneys. Mitchell Maughan argued the remains should be cremated as soon as possible in everyone's "best interest," and to avoid the expense of storing the body.

Once he receives an official court order, Jeffs said it will be his job to arrange for Coleman's cremation after the two-day window is up.

According to Kester, Coleman and Gray had a close relationship for more than eight years. First it was professional, when Gray served as Coleman's manager and business associate, but it eventually became personal and romantic.

Kester said Gray even moved to Utah with Coleman, but after a "period of conflict" with Price, Gray "chose not to be a part of that" and left.

Kester said he hadn't spoken to Gray about whether she wanted Price to have any part in Coleman's estate.

No one from Price's legal party commented after the Monday's hearing, and phone calls Monday afternoon and evening were not returned. Price said nothing in court and carried a small bin and tissues, as if she might throw up.

Jeffs will manage Coleman's estate while Gray and Price continue their dealings in court. He won't have liberty to make any decisions beyond securing assets and carrying out court orders and won't be dividing any of Coleman's belongings as outlined in the 2005 will. That will be reserved for a permanent executor, Taylor ruled.

Both Kester and Jeffs said they don't expect a quick resolution.

"I couldn't imagine it would be shorter than a few months," Jeffs said. "I have been involved in probate disputes that lasted more than a couple of years."

Gary Coleman -- Don't Pull the Plug on Me!

TMZ has obtained legal documents signed by Gary Coleman in 2006 in which the actor specifically directed that he did not want anyone to pull the plug on him ... if he was ever in that situation.

Gary Coleman

The documents were ironically filed by Shannon Price -- Gary's ex-wife -- the person who authorized doctors to take Gary off life support last month. Price has filed the docs in an effort to be granted control over the disposition of Gary's body.

Among the documents filed today by Shannon is a health care power of attorney which Gary filled out in 2006. Under the heading "Instructions for Health Care" -- Gary checked a box titled "Choice to Prolong Life" which states, "I want my life to be prolonged as long as possible within the limits of generally accepted health care standards."

0614_coleman_rip_noarrow_wm

The other option Gary had -- "Choice Not to Prolong Life" -- was left unchecked.

In the docs, Shannon explains her decision to end Gary's life saying she was "forced" to pull the plug. She does not explain why she felt forced.

Gary Coleman’s remains were cremated Thursday and his ashes will be locked away until a court decides who should get them, the special administrator of his estate said.

“The proceeding was conducted in accordance with Mr. Coleman’s desires as expressed in his will, that no funeral service, wake, or other ceremony memorialize his passing,” attorney Robert Jeffs said Thursday.

A Utah judge appointed Jeffs to control the estate while he decides a will dispute between ex-wife Shannon Price and former business associate Anna Gray.

Coleman divorced Price in 2008, but they were living together in Santaquin, Utah, when he suffered a fall at home last month and died two days later of a brain hemorrhage at the Provo, Utah, hospital
